Before I came, I told those in admission that I wanted the peace in Christ that my wife had. I have that and so much more now. I experience peace, joy, and true love for Jesus Christ. Every other program I tried stressed the Fact that I am and always will be an alcoholic. I feel like I spoke to that fact for many years. It is a lie! I am a child of God, made in his image, who cannot drink if I want to maintain this peace. That is my truth for now and ever more. The love of Christ I experienced through his people (Staff, interns, teachers, fellow recipients) at S2L has been one of the greatest periods of discovery I have ever been through. Their motto whom the son sets free is free indeed is the truth I have needed my entire life. Thank you, S2L from the bottom of my heart!
