I highly recommend Spero Health of Barbourville to anyone suffering from addiction to opiates if they're serious about getting help. I've learned those who don't want sobriety or think they know better tend to refer to Suboxone as "poison" or anything else to degrade the program that's saved my life and many more lives all around me. It offends me to see some of these reviews accuse us of selling our Suboxone while in the same breath talk about how the flooding of places with Suboxone has dropped the price dramatically so that is a contradiction in itself as there's no money to be made but if you're not ready for Spero Health & choose to exist miserablly I understand why your judgement of us doing well being happy in the program could confuse you. I'm sorry you've not suffered in addiction long enough to realize that you deserve to be happy & healthy both mentally & physically. Spero Health can help you achieve that & much more. This place will forever have a special spot in my heart. The employees saved my life every single day for 30 days. The therapists are also something to not overlook, they go WAY above and beyond to educate what's really going on with our minds and body. I've been through 4 recovery centers, two in Kentucky one in California and then this one. This is the only one I can truly say that they take this lifestyle seriously and the presence of a higher power flows through every body in the house. I wouldn't recommend any other place. This is an awesome place to go. The staff are AMAZING! Always friendly and listens and very patient and understanding! I recommend highly. The staff and doctor treat me like a human being not just some addict or number. They listen to me, don t judge, and really care. And If I miss an appointment without calling, they call to check on me and make sure I m okay. That speaks for itself. I ve NEVER been to another place that does that, and that says enough. I personally loved this place. I was there in 2013 right out of prison, pregnant and hopeless. The staff was wonderful and took care of us. Before my experience at S2L I was a Christian, but my faith was dead. Within the first week at S2L, the Holy Spirit was awakened in me. Before I came, I told those in admission that I wanted the peace in Christ that my wife had. I have that and so much more now. I experience peace, joy, and true love for Jesus Christ. Every other program I tried stressed the Fact that I am and always will be an alcoholic. I feel like I spoke to that fact for many years. It is a lie! I am a child of God, made in his image, who cannot drink if I want to maintain this peace. That is my truth for now and ever more. The love of Christ I experienced through his people (Staff, interns, teachers, fellow recipients) at S2L has been one of the greatest periods of discovery I have ever been through.
