All in all, my stay at Arista was a successful one. You're going to get out of the program what you want to get out of it. I went because I knew I needed help, so I was serious about it. "Other's NOT so serious about the program".I got to Arista on July 21, 2024. It took me about a week to get my schedule down, and then I felt a lot more comfortable going to classes and things. The only thing about Arista that I wished they would have done for me was to give me a tour of the facility after I arrived and where everything was located, but I had to figure all of that out by myself. So, when new people came in after me, I always tried to help them to find things because they also were not showed around. The rooms were very nice, but some people got to sleep-in Full-Size Beds, while others, like me, got single size beds. But I was very thankful to have a place to lay my head at night and the bed was very comfy. I was blessed to have an amazing roommate with my stay there at Arista as well, so it made it nice to have someone to talk to late at night when we couldn't sleep.Equine was really fun. Girls got to go every Tuesday to meet new horses, and they taught us great lessons about our recovery while working with the horses. So that was really fun. Boys went every Wednesday.The gym wasn't really fun, but I still tried to be down there in the room every morning because we are required to be there BUT you were not required to work out, just be present so that was cool.We had movie nights, but I didn't go to many of them because I like to read a lot instead.I left Arista on August 22, 2024, with my coin and Certificate!I got to leave my handprint on the wall, a very cool thing they do for the residents who complete the program successfully!Here are the workers I'd like to thank for being so kind and helpful to me at my stay at Arista in Paola, Ks.BHT- Jessica- Thank you for being kind to everyone. They are always friendly people that work there. Best place to go to.

Coming here to start my recovery was the best experience I've ever had at an inpatient recovery hospital. The staff was very helpful, kind, and supportive. The doctors were attentive to my needs, and made detoxing so much easier. It was easy for me to be in a positive outlook towards my release into outpatient. All the other people that were in the unit were all supportive as well. I highly recommend this facility if you need help with getting and staying sober. I truly believe that they were the main reason behind my drive to live a clean and sober life. Thanks to all the staff and doctors, I feel that they pointed me the way out of the deep dark crevice I was stuck in.
