outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient Rehab

Inpatient rehab provides clients with an opportunity to focus solely on their sobriety away from the stressors of the home and workplace. Clients receive housing, food, and intensive clinical supervision. They also typically engage in multiple addiction counseling sessions each week, including daily individual, group, and/or family sessions. Most programs also prioritize recovery-focused life skills training, including courses in relapse prevention. Many facilities offer evidence-based holistic therapies, such as yoga and meditation.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

After being discharged from residential inpatient treatment, clients are encouraged to consider a sober living home while they continue outpatient treatment and re-enter the community. Sober living homes offer a safe, supportive environment where clients can live with others substance free. Just Believe Recovery is affiliated with a number of sober living homes ready to receive referrals. The facility seeks to provide a smooth transition between residential treatment and less restrictive sober living outside rehab facility.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Intervention services bring extensive experience to the planning and conducting of drug interventions in Pennsylvania. These experts can facilitate interventions in a sensitive manner that encourages positive outcomes. The goal of the intervention is to educate the individual about addiction and the consequences of their substance use and encourage them to get the treatment they need. Interventions can be effective with all types of drugs and alcohol addiction.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The detox process is overseen by addiction treatment professionals. Their goal is to make detoxification as comfortable and stress-free as possible. It is critically important for a client to go through the detoxification process before admission into Just Believe Recovery Center, for the medical safety and emotional stability of all clients.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

eye-movement iconEye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

MDR, or Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing Therapy is an innovative trauma recovery technique offered by Just Believe Recovery Center. During a session, the therapist engages the patient in a stimulation exercise in which past trauma is discussed. Simultaneously, different parts of the brain are activated through a series of eye movements, often facilitated by moving lights or objects. By alternating between positive and negative thoughts with corresponding eye movement, the brain begins to desensitize itself to negative images and memories.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

recreational-therapy iconRecreational Therapy

Incorporating recreational therapy into drug and alcohol addiction programs in Pennsylvania helps you rebuild your life and maintain sobriety by discovering new interests and developing healthy coping mechanisms. Recreational activities can include painting, team sports, and hiking to promote physical and mental health.

Good that this place closed down for good. Used to work for them. The owner promoted her son, who barely knows how to operate a computer and read, to run the Florida location. It was only a matter of time he ran it into the ground, and that s exactly what he did. Sad, pathetic.

Truly nothing makes me happier than to see this place closed. This was the WORST place I have ever been. I have been to a few rehabs unfortunately and I couldn't hardly do 6 days here. There was not one positive experience for me but the main concerns are there. Detox was hell. The doctor who walked in with her entire designer Louis Vuitton outfit and giant rock on her hand put me straight into precipitated withdrawal. I have never been so sick in my life. I was throwing up and couldn t eat for over a week. I had to have my room moved three times because there was so much mold and mildew in the bathrooms I was sick from the smell. The food is absolutely 100% garbage. Also the fact that you have to be taken out to smoke with staff maybe 4 times a day for like 3 minutes is not okay. In detox you should have free range to smoke. This place was like jail pure pure torture. I would have left immediately but was 3 hours from home, this is what they bank on. The day I started to slightly feel better I convinced the therapist I needed to go home and I relapsed immediately. Thank god I did then go to malvern willow grove and completed that and now have almost two years clean. But just believe should never reopen and stay closed forever and the owner should never run a rehab again. Horrrrrible place

Most INHUMANE experience of my life. Went to Just Believe in Carbondale PA for detox from fentanyl. They did not medicate me hardly at all. Gave me a "taper" of 2mg - 4mg of subtext then stopped it after a couple days, not that it was enough to help anyway. They left me sick and vomiting for 11 days. Ended up in the ER twice, where they informed the doctor that if he gave me suboxone I could not come back. I was four hours from home so he couldn't give it to me in good conscience but was arguing with them on the phone about "the standard of care for withdraws and why won't they treat me". I had 2 code blues while there. One of which I fell out and hit my head on concrete. They simply put me back in bed and did not check on me at all throughout the night. I am shocked this place is still open. DO NOT send anyone you love there to detox. Day 11 I finally had to be picked up and relapsed that day since I was STILL so sick. Oh and can't forget about the dried blood and vomit on the walls which were NOT mine. I hear their FL facility is nice.

I came to Just Believe when I was hopeless, this was around 5-6 years ago now. I was fortunate enough to have had an amazing doctor who cared so much, when I asked for help and told him no place in NY would detox me because they were either full or did not have a medical detox. He stuck his neck out for me and found a way to get me a scholarship in Carbondale. It changed my life, between the councilors, the techs, nurses, and even just the employees there all made me feel comfortable. Like I wasn t a lost cause. I couldn t say enough about the place. Even the owner saw that a young man who wanted to stay so badly but his insurance wouldn t cover that she did the same for him. They changed my life. If god forbid I were ever relapse, I wish I would be able to come back there, but unfortunately I don t think that s possible. I hope that they continue the quality care they showed me and the other clients there.

I truly believe Just Believe saved my life. I went in a broken human and came out a new person. The staff there is amazing and helped me see the person I could become. Without Just Believe, I probably wouldn t be alive.

Don t even want to give a star! Worst place to go the nurses are having inappropriate relationships with the clients. Ruined my relationship that I was in going into this place to fix not only myself but my relationship. So I m sure other staff members are possibly doing the same! Was just their a month ago, the couples program is a scam you still can t communicate with their other half. This place is very understaffed. Not all the clients get the proper attention or treatment they need. List goes on.

I did not reside at Just Believe but I have a family member who is there right now. I'm trying to leave out details because I don't want them to try to do something out of reprisal. My family member said detox was good, the counselor was kind and attentive. But after the detox comes the residential period and it sounds like prison. According to my family member, the food is bad, they only got to see a counselor ONCE after detox, and rumors abound regarding ownership and whether the business will remain operational in a few months. Again, those are rumors, but it still doesn't speak well when the residents have no faith in administration. They say you can call about your loved ones any time, twenty-four seven, but they never answer the phone! As other reviews have said, some of the staff are good human beings trying to do the best they can, but many more seen to be rude or apathetic. My family member is supposed to be able to use the phone for fifteen minutes a day, but hasn't been able to call us once!Again, I'm not a resident. But actually take the time to look through these reviews. You'll see a lot of the same complaints popping up.Someone trying to fight addiction needs attentive staff, good medical care, and an inspiring environment. Now I'm afraid my family member is going to give up on rehab altogether...If you can afford it, go to Marworth. I have no information about the other rehabs in the area, but would appreciate any opinions.Good luck, stay strong. It's not your fault.
