About JSAS HealthCare, Inc.

JSAS HealthCare or JSASHC is located in Neptune, New Jersey. They provide substance use treatment along with help for co occuring disorders. They also have a maternal wraparound care program plus they’re CARF accredited and NJ state licensed.

They want to team up with you for a better tomorrow and are dedicated to uplifting each patient. They strive to offer dedicated care with comprehensive guidance and unwavering support to empower your journey to recovery.

They believe substance use disorders are treatable bio-psychosocial diseases and use an interdisciplinary approach to suit each person’s needs.

They have an outpatient opioid treatment program that utilizes medication, counseling and peer support to treat opioid use disorder (OUD). They use methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone for detox and maintenance.

They have individual and group counseling sessions as well as support groups that cover topics like relapse prevention. You’ll also find peer support, gender specific counseling, parenting courses and relaxation techniques including acupuncture.

For possible co-occurring disorders, you’ll have a mental health screening at intake done by a mental health practitioner. If needed, medications will be prescribed by the medical director and psychotherapy will be done by a licensed therapist.

Their maternal wraparound program is for pregnant or postpartum women who are addicted to opioids. They help with case management and necessities like housing, transportation, legal services, healthcare and help with family strengthening techniques or other family needs. They also provide nurse care management and HIV services.

I really like the maternal program here as that is often overlooked during or after a pregnancy. Former patients have said they were treated fairly and with respect and they were very well looked after.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step programs engage in a rigorous process of personal growth as a cornerstone of long-term recovery. They are expected to attend anonymous, peer-led 12 step meetings, which are free, open to the public, and available multiple times per day in most communities. Though these programs are rooted in spiritual principles, religious affiliation is not required. Self-selected peer sponsors mentor participants as they work through the 12 steps, learning forgiveness, understanding, acceptance, and accountability.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in New Jersey is the process of addressing the complex issues involved with addiction. Challenges are identified and addressed through individual and group counseling. Participants learn how to manage these issues without the use of substances.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

During individual therapy for drug addiction, patients receive a customized and tailored approach to understanding their unique circumstances and providing them with targeted interventions. These include coping skills, relapse prevention plans, and developing resilience, all of which are essential for long term recovery.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Family therapy sessions address addiction related conflicts and other issues between members of the family unit. By strengthening communication and coping skills, as well as creating a nurturing environment, the family can help support their loved one's recovery.

I been coming here for more than 5 years now and one thing I realized long ago that lives true to this day. It s a dealership, with dealers, and we re customers under the guise of patients. I guess to satisfy State and federal SAMSHA requirements the bare minimum is done to satisfy on paper that we re patients. In practice and reality we re customers. You ll see, you ll also remember that I warned you. Example. If you don t have insurance and pay monthly, wait until you don t have the money to pay one months. I ve seen peopleBreak down and cry when they re told to leave they can t be helped if they can t pay. I ve also seen 2 of those people in 5 years come back when they can pay only after relapsing. I thank god and so grateful to have insurance and feel terrible for those who don t. Especially those who come and do so well but none day can t pay and after years of being clean after being told to leave becsue they can t pay disappear for some time and come back relapsed. This place does not care that they helped make your life stable but one day you don t have the money when it s due they create instability in your life.because just like it feels good to tell you your beat it s after 10:59am they tell you your beat when you don t have the money due. Another thing they do is call your doctors asking questions that you find out when you next visit that doctor and that doctor no longer wants you as a patient. There are many other horror stories but in 5 plus years I ve never seen so many adults cry and turned away, and seen my share of customers act out in anger as well. Also there s always police there. They called the police on me once, and even though they were very nice and treated me nicer than the dealership does, I can t say the same for many others. They call the police on their customers regularly. I survived 5 years there because I have insurance but only because I m stable do I stay even though it s a very toxic environment.

I have been a patient since 2005 and if it wasn't for them God only knows were I would be they take the time to get to know their patients and they work with u to put u in a sobriety path They also offer MA meetings for patients and they also have family meetings so that family members are able to understand what to do and how to recognize addiction I absolutely Love and respect them because they treat their patients with the up most respect.

Compared to Ocean Monmouth the Brick clinic. Which is a nightmare. They are really geared toward making sure you are respected and are well looked after for treatment. Everyone I see there appears in look and walk to be more on a path to stabilized living and at least they shower and smell nice (patients) there is no drug activity I see. It is overall a better place to stay focused and they All help you reach your goals. activity

Jsas & methadone treatment, alongside medical marijuana treatment has given me 6 years free from an 11 year heroin addiction. I thank methadone, policy & regulation at jsas is often too strict to enable the person with deep seeded addiction issues, they punish patients for their "many" logical regulations.

I've been a patient since July.22,2003. I've always been treated fairly. I've built a lot of great relationships with the staff. Since being treated by Dr. Neshin in 2003 until now I have had 15 years of sobriety under my belt. For all those that are serious about being clean and want to give it your ALL then I recommend using all of the tools handy to you by JSAS Health Care. It does save lives!!
