Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

house-medical iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.

book-medical icon12-Step

Addiction recovery based on a 12 step program model is rooted in peer support and spiritual development. Participants regularly attend 12 step meetings, which are free, anonymous, peer-led, and available throughout the day and night in most communities. Clients' recovery is achieved progressively as they work through the 12 steps, which teach them to understand and address the root causes of their addiction, become accountable for their choices, and relinquish control over that which cannot be changed.

house-medical iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Cognitive Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical behavior therapy is skills based and present oriented. You'll be asked to keep a diary of emotions and related behaviors and practice the skills you've been learning between sessions. The focus of skills development is on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Individual Therapy

Men and women in Colorado have access to customized individual therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. These sessions explore your life experiences and patterns of substance abuse. Your therapist helps you recognize harmful behaviors and thoughts that empower you to make positive changes for lasting recovery.

Couples Therapy

Based on the couple's needs, couples therapy may take different forms. Your therapist will probably take an integrated approach, using techniques from several methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic couple's therapy. The goal is to work through challenges and strengthen your relationship.

Family Therapy

During family therapy sessions, family members in Colorado work with therapists to understand addiction as a disease that has affected the entire family. This approach fosters empathy and reduces blame on any one member. Promoting this collective effort helps to support the recovery process.

Motivational Interviewing

Therapists who employ motivational interview techniques seek to draw out the client's ideas about change and allow them to draw their own conclusions about the need for change. This method is often effective for clients who feel unsure about their ability to change or the need for change.

Trauma Therapy

During trauma therapy, you explore the impact that a traumatic event has had on your life. Your therapist can help you develop strategies to manage the emotional and physical symptoms while improving emotional regulation. This improves your overall quality of life.

Singed up for services the intake paperwork isn't graded my a license therapist it's graded by the office manager. I'm just trying to move foward all questions asked were about the past and nothing on the actual matter. I joined today's class with Lynn, and because it wasn't completely quiet I would not be able to take her class. I have 9 kids ages from 17 to a 11 month old , I can not keep all the kids quiet. No common sense or empathy. I was told that she controls how many classes need to be done and wouldn't tell me my level. Probation decides your level and there is a certain amount of classes needed depending on your level. Find another location this place is a big money pit and all the staff enjoy telling men how it's going to be.

I deeply value Lynn's contributions and the invaluable support she has provided. Her guidance and expertise were instrumental in navigating a challenging phase in my life, leading to significant improvements in my relationships and family dynamics. The flexibility of class schedules, and online features have been incredibly convenient. Choosing Journey Counseling has been a rewarding decision during this important chapter of my life. Thank you sincerely, Lynn, for everything you do.

Lisa is one of the sweetest, most genuine and down to Earth human beings I have ever met. She helped me through so much and I can never thank her enough. She will always be dear to me. Thank you, Lisa.

Court ordered therapy is bad for mental health. This is just a way to take people's money and make them more depressed. A complete and total scam.

Deborah is very kind, Lisa on the other hand is very disrespectful and just makes this process a lot harder. Multiple times I was singled out because I m assuming she just didn t like me, one time she wouldn t let me join a class because I was 1 min late and only because I was having computer problems. I have always been on time and respectful and attentive to her lessons. It s nice to do these classes remotely but due to the lack of kindness and respect from Lisa I d rather go somewhere else even if it s in person as long as I m treated more fair. All I m trying to do is put a bad mistake and bad choice of mine in the past and handle my responsibilities but Lisa is currently the only one and thing preventing me from getting off probation because she will no longer allow me to attend classes.

Just tried to call and ask about their services and got hung up on. So much for anger management. Rude staff.
