outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

This Mental health clinic is the worst I ve been to. The doctors are completely incompetent and do not listen to the patients or take into account their specific needs. Hopefully you are able to use the Vet Center because this clinic will most likely make your mental health worse.

Had DR Phillips while I used that clinic and he proved to be an abusive unprofessional doctor. He is spiteful and certainly didn t are about causing no harm DR Phillips is the most unprofessional medical person I ever met.It wasn t that he didn t know any better that made him so bad. It was that he knew exactly what he was doing and was vengeful and spiteful in doing so.Threatening Veterans medication s going against all standard medical procedures. He tried to bully Veterans Into going out during the pandemic because he was in the office.Dr. Phillips is an A1 a hole and I got a new doctor at the Tampa VA that I m extremely happy with the damage that Dr. Phillips tried to was undone At the Tampa facility.Dr. Phillips was reported to the center chief of something and she Was absolutely useless, making excuses And thought that it would be best if I went to another facility her the number two a hole. The new clinic is opening. I don t know if Dr. Phillips is still with the VA I hope not but I see the center Director that a hole is still there. So I wouldn t revel Medical because if the leader is a will trickle down!

This clinic is an example of why the VA makes the news for all the wrong reasons and veterans become the worst statistics. I suffered a TBI from an IED blast in Afg. Since then, I have had recurrent migraines and it has been well documented. I was awarded a Purple Heart and have been treated for years and prescribed medication. I was recently assigned a new primary care doctor at this clinic. I started a new job a little over a year ago and have had an increase in the frequency of the episodes. For the past 18 months, I have kept a log of every one I have and how long they last. I have been getting an average of 8-10 a month for the last 6-8months. When I asked my doctor to complete the health certification for FMLA, he completed the form to reflect 2-3 episodes a month. So, the first month after being approved for the standard 12 weeks of time away from work, I had a total of six episodes. Since this was more than my primary "care" doctor put on the form, my employer requires a new health certificate that reflects an increase in the frequency of the episodes. Furthermore, they give a deadline of 15 days to submit the new form back to them or I lose my time under FMLA. When I went to my care team to ask to update the form, the doctor outright refused. Going as far as putting in an email "IF" I am having recurrent migraines, (putting IF in all caps to emphasize and suggest that I am not actually having them),then I need to see neurology to be treated and get a maintenance medication prescribed. The issue here is that the wait time for a new patient referral is 83 days which is much, much longer than the 15 day deadline given by my employer. The nurse told me that if I am having migraines this often, I should just "look into disability" and not hold a job anymore. I am only 32 years old and I want to hold a job. I enjoy working and it helps me provide for my two year old daughter, as I am a single father. Additionally, telling some one to look into disability because they need more than 240 hours of FMLA, (which is only HALF of the amount allotted by the government under the FMLA), is ridiculous. It should be noted that I am already receiving disability pay from the VA for migraines. Lastly, the part that upset me the most, is when I asked the nurse why the form did not accurately reflect the frequency of the migraines, she said he did not submit the forms with the incorrect information, and he just saying he is "allowing you two days a month" to miss work for your migraines. What an asinine thing to say. Nobody "allows" my migraines to happen. They. Just. Happen. They claim their reason for refusing to correct my paperwork is because I won't take a referral for neuro but that is not true. I made it very clear that I have no problem taking a referral if he is going to complete the new form so that I can keep my FMLA and my job. But if he is going to refuse to complete it until I am actually SEEN, almost three months from now, then I do not want the referral because I don't care to be seen by any provider at the VA. By that time it will be too late and I will lose my FMLA and my job. It is so demoralizing having to argue with these people and trying to justify something caused by an injury I sustained while fighting a war for this government. Just to have the nurse suggest I quit my job and look into disability, have the doctor suggest I am lying about my condition(despite being well documented and receiving disability for same), and that I am only "allowed" two episodes a month. I truly believe all the awful stats surrounding veterans start with the poor "care" we receive at the VA medical centers.

My experience with this clinic has been bad. When I call to ask question about my upcoming appointments the personal are quick to even to not let you speak. the treatment as a person that I have received has been unprofessional and dismissive. To get an appointment with specialty clinic is redundant and slow. Customer service its subpar, they need to listen more instead of talking over you.

I am a new patient and have only been here twice. But the thoughtfulness, care, and mood of this clinic are very helpful. I am glad that things are my home for primary care. From the front desk to the lab, the nurses, and Dr Recto, I am very pleased.
