I feel this program is very positive with a very nice, experienced staff. The members of the group are very supportive and nice people for the most part. The cost is worth it if you want to change your life and stop using drugs. It has been very positive for me. It is my second time in this program and it will only work if you want to change. Participation is key. Change for yourself not for anyone else.

I have to say a few things about this experience. The hospital staff was very friendly and we did appreciate that but it seemed like there was not good communication happening between floors. We were told by the heart unit nurse we would be discharged around 8:30 pm if there were no issues and she gave us the discharge paperwork. When we got up to third floor it became a completely different story. 8:30 pm rolls around and we call them to ask if we can be discharged. The young lady comes into the room and said the nurse is busy and we need to get discharge paperwork and another Dr to sign off. We had discharge paperwork already so we were confused as to why we needed more. She said that is what we do. An hour goes by and she comes in with the discharge paperwork, it is the exact same paperwork I have in my hand and proceeds to go over it again. At this point my very tired and upset husband is saying we went through this all downstairs every single thing you re saying. She proceeds to take off the heart monitor and take out the iv. After this my husband is so frustrated he dressed quick and thought they would be bringing a wheelchair, well no. They were all standing at the nurses station. He walked out of the room and told them I am walking out of here. We got an escort to the door. I did feel sorry for them because he was really angry with them about the lack of communication. Their communication has to improve with other floors and their patients. Not one person explained we would need to be discharged twice and have 2 separate Dr s discharge us. If we knew that we would have been trying to get them to work on the discharge earlier.Update: 2nd procedure went very well! My husband and I had a great nurse that was very helpful and the nursing staff made sure to let us know if there was a delay on things. Discharge went super smooth this time around. Thank you Allen hospital!
