I went to tanager a couple years ago and I may not have seen how much it helped me then but I realize now. I'm positive every staff member would be happy to help any kid as long as they wanted it or asked. Almost every one of the therapists do an excellent job in my opinion and they all are their cus they do genuinely care. Even if y'all don't think so. The only bad part about tanager i would have to say is the kids. Having to live in a cottage with 10 other kids going through possibly similar traumas as yours or completely different and the kids seem to just, clash. But yeah

I was transferred to Allen from Grinnell Regional hospital as they didn't have gastroenterology and I needed a procedure they could not provide at Grinnell. I was treated with kindness and respect by ALL the staff and they got me treated and sent home promptly with follow up close to home the next day. Night CNA (Terri I believe was her name) was amazing and super attentive to every need. They made sure my parents who stayed the night and drove several hours to be with me were comfortable and well cared for. Doctors and nurses were respectful and kind. I am a nurse.and know I would not have gotten this treatment in Des Moines or Iowa City. Very grateful for the care and answers I received at Allen. Keep up the great work. I am an alcoholic and my detox needs were met beyond expectations and my addiction did not cause me to have poor care that I have experienced elsewhere. So upset that they officially closed their doors last week and no longer are in business. This clinic saved lives and unfortunately many will suffer because of this. I m concerned that this clinic is relying on psych patients to inform them that they re derelict with federal regulations.For example, in 2022 I had to inform them of concerns that they were using a Notice of Privacy Practices that was drafted in 2003.One of about fifty problems with that is the fact that in 2013, the HITECH ACT generated many new updates and New requirements for the HIPAA notice of privacy practices . There were several new requirements that were mandated to be added to the NPP, with compliance required by September 23, 2013. And it s not just important that these practices are adopted in the notice - but in practice.For me that demonstrates that nobody at this clinic is following the federal register, or Final Rules, for regulations required under CFR.That s incredibly horrifying, coming from a place that handles very vulnerable patients - and psychiatric records.I ve had multiple problems with the voicemail for prescriptions. I ve requested these records and want to have the clinic work to resolve issues with those staff - and to make sure they re making detailed records, thqt adhere to record keeping guidelines.
