I only went once to be treated by Dr. Sharon Figueroa. The reception was excellent, attentive and they attended to me quickly. When I go to the doctor, I start telling her my concerns and she only responds with an "uhum" without any interest. Then he started criticizing me for how I dress, do my makeup, and do my hair. He didn't help me at all and all he did was criticize every thought I had. He even thought he had autism!!! He kept throwing diagnoses for everything I said. And she is the only one who could take my medical plan. The other doctors do not accept the plan. I would go back if they had another doctor, but so far what I saw was a disgrace.

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Horrible, horrible customer service. Should not treat people in need of help like that*BELOW YOU CAN SEE someone responded to help resolve my issue. So I tried to give another chance and sent the email. It s been a month since and of course NO ONE RESPONDED- THEY DO NOT CARE. Will reportHorrible, horrible servicio al cliente. Awful. They don't call you and close your record without telling you anything. It is the worst psychological/psychiatric service I have ever received. The customer service is the worst, they never return your calls.

The building is a little neglected, interior cleaning is always good. But you have to come slowly because it takes a long time to call and it's for all appointments.

Extremely upset. Not professionals.They now work through TeleConsulta and use that as an excuse to not give you an appointment with a time, they simply tell you that your appointment is on a certain day. Which means they can call you at any time of the day, whether you are busy or not. They have already given me 3-4 appointments to which I am never attended because the doctor never calls! It seems to me that they have too many clients and they don't know how to handle them. They are also not the ones to cancel appointments in advance or even notify them. Irresponsible and bad psychology practice!

I am a patient at the clinic in Hato Rey and a while ago I missed an appointment. They called me from Caguas so that "doctor" JULIO ROSADO GALARZA could give me a refill of medication. At the outset he asked me how I was and when I told him that I was fine and taking care of myself from COVID19, he went into hysteria and told me, and I quote: "Don't you realize that we are in an invisible spiritual battle and they are manipulating us?" I was left in one piece!!! I replied that as a health professional that I have been, I do not believe that his statement is the most correct. Then he asked me what my religion is. When I told him that in my family we don't follow any of them, he shouted at me saying "Ahh, you're an atheist"!!!! AND HE HANGED UP THE CALL WITHOUT MAKING THE PRESCRIPTION. I understand that a behavioral professional should not mix his or her conspiracy ideas, much less question and offend any patient. I realized his "error", but it makes me think that if a decompensated, alienated patient is "planted" with that thought, it could be the cause of any misfortune, since the patient can interpret that as a truth. Mental Health is serious enough in PR for a CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIST TO BE SPREADING LIES AND STUPIDNESS. That "doctor" lacked professional ethics and did not fulfill the assigned task. SHAME SHOULD GIVE YOU.
