I would highly recommend First City! When I entered the program I was only doing so because of my family and had no intentions of remaining sober. From the minute I walked in I felt genuinely cared for with no judgment. I was given so much support and showed so much love that I wanted what these people had, which for most of them was long term sobriety. I was given the tools and learned about issues that I had had my whole life and these issues led to my addiction and feelings of being alone. I was called out on my BS and made to face my own lies to myself and to others. I was going in to do 6 days and completed my program at 92 days. The staff is just incredible. They loved me through my very rough detox that still amazes me to this day. I will forever be grateful for the kindness, care, compassion and love I was showed and how I learned to have these same qualities towards myself and others. Much love First City Recovery Center!
