Just finished my exit interview after a state mandated probation restriction and I can say I wish i started it sooner than I did.Julian and the entire staff are there to help anyone willing to enter (or forced in my case) a recovery program with open arms.Sure, it costs money and it's not a RESORT type program (anyone that has seen the movie 28 days knows what i mean).. but the therapy is very helpful and worthwhile if you're either struggling... or in my case... BUSTED doing something stupid.The understanding that people make mistakes is first and foremost... the encouragement for self help is right there... and the personal attention via 1 on 1 is great.The group sessions were relaxed and often entertaining.... sharing stories of mistakes and triumphs... goofy occurances and others in the group lovingly joking about why and how we ended up there..... whether by choice or law....They're highly resourceful for any additional help someone might feel the need to reach for as well.As strange as it may sound.... i'm kinda gonna miss going in.If you feel like you're struggling with addiction... maybe problems at home... maybe the loss of a loved one... or anything... i seriously can't recommend them highly enough.Thanks again Julian, and the entire staff at Fresh Start Hammond!

If i could give 1000 stars i would! I couldn't recommend symetria enough. Everyone there is absolutely AMAZING! From the front staff (esp Ms Shuranda who keeps everything running smoothly), to the wonderful counselors, the medical directors (shout out to Ms Cynthia) and the nurses aka angels in scrubs (Kat, Gizelle and Mel).. you are surrounded by nothing but complete love, support and understanding. There is never a moment you feel judged or unsupported. Everyone has been there for me in more ways than I can count and if it wasn't for the staff I don't think I would be where I am today. You aren't treated like a number or just another patient. You are treated like FAMILY! I have been receiving treatment at Brightside for a few months. I went into this treatment scared. I was desperate and called to see if they have room for a new patient. They got me in an hour later and immediately started helping me get started with treatment. Once I met everyone I knew I was in the right place. No need to feel intimidated, they re here to help and they show it! Dr. Mary Jean has been amazing. She listens to what I have to say and gives honest feedback. I get anxious talking to doctors and sometimes feel like what I m saying is wrong. I feel so comfortable sitting with Dr. Mary Jean and telling her everything I am feeling. I can see by the way that she informs me and listens to me that she cares. Leela and Catherine are amazing and you can tell they care as well. They have no idea how much better they make it walking into a doctor office. It s like walking into a friends house. They always answer all my questions and always remind me to call if I need.
