I'm an alcoholic, have been for years. I got treatment before I decided to give the Gateway, Iopc,a try. Im not religious and religion isnt pushed at GateWay Iopc, which is why i gave it a try. My Dr suggested it so I decided to do that treatment after my detox. Also my counselor Dan in the Joliet office is a great counselor. I, like most people are closed off when going thru this process. Eventually you will begin to open up when you see there is several other people dealing and going thru a similar situation as yourself. And believe me Im the most closed off person there is. You may not agree with all of it, as I didn't, but there are parts that's help. Everyone is dealing with something different and everyone is affected differently. Focus on yourself and don't let outside influences stop you from what you want.

Went to psych ward. Wasn t feeling well and told them my mom died and I need to go to a nursing home. My mom just changed her number, new number not in their records. They somehow managed to call her so I could go home. They even got a cab to drive me directly home so I didn t have to ride the bus into town and walk 3 miles home like Chicago area psych wards would have.
