outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Once a person has become addicted to a substance, drug rehab in Maryland is often necessary to overcome that addiction. These programs provide the tools individuals need to manage the physical, mental, and emotional issues involved and begin a successful recovery journey.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Totally worthless. Huber makes no pretense at being in it for anything but the money. Her PhD is from a defunct online diploma mill that she never actually attended. The one thing she knows how to do is win government contracts to provide "treatment" to ex-cons who have n ... Read More

As others have already stated, this woman is completely awful and unprofessional. Most of the "therapy" sessions under her supervision consist of group members talking over each other, using profanity ( supposedly against the rules), and asking a new member a ton of unhelpful questions and offering unhelpful advice -- I, personally, had someone offer to pay for a hooker for me while she sat there and listened! Her contribution throughout this entire meeting were to ask poorly articulated questions, insult the person when she doesn't like the answer and make demeaning and snide remarks. She is completely unprofessional and awful at her job. Her group sessions are, basically, a cult of personality where she sits as the head a let other members berate a new person in the "hot seat." She's completely drunk on power because she knows the people in her awful care are mandated to be there and have virtually no power to change the situation. Obviously, there is no over site or else she would have been shut down by now.She deserves far less than one star.

Unprofessional Atmosphere...... I do not recommend this place at all. The entire office is crawling with filthy cats. Deborah Huber has a position and uses it as a power tool to talk to the clients any way she feels and uses the group to taunt you. I plan on filing a complaint with state of Maryland.

You have a right to your opinion but we have served over 10,000 men and your opinion is not shared by many. I understand that clients do not want treatment and that leads to people making false allegations. Sorry this is your way of venting.

Terrible experience. Dr. Huber is unprofessional. Her business is run out of a dirty and cluttered house. There are cats running around with free reign over what is supposed to be a work space. Private sessions are interrupted when people walk into the room unannounced and uninvited. And she yells, belittles and argues with patients until she gets the responses that she wants. And if she doesn't she threatens to kick the patient out, knowing full well that many are mandated to be there. This place is a shame. If you have any choice in where you go to seek treatment, AVOID Huber & Associates.
