About Homeward Bound
Homeward Bound Inc. is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in The Colony, Texas. They offer detoxification services for people with substance and alcohol use disorders. They also treat opioid use disorder. They provide detoxification, inpatient services, and outpatient services.
Homeward Bound provides services to clients from the beginning to the end of their recovery journey. They offer a full five to seven day detoxification service to clients. Clients will receive a full drug test and exam before detox begins. The staff will monitor the client’s vital signs often. They can also administer medically assisted treatment to the client if the discomfort from detoxing is too painful.
Once a client has stabilized, they offer a residential treatment program that lasts anywhere from 14 to 90 days. Clients will participate in both group and individual therapy. The type of therapeutic method used in individual therapy will depend upon the client’s needs. The treatment programs are gender specific. One thing that makes this rehab stand out is that they offer a residential program for people living with HIV.
Clients who complete outpatient treatment and people who do not need detox or residential services can find outpatient care here. A client can come in several times a week or just once a week for therapy. Outpatient care normally last three to four months and follows a 12 step model.
Levels of Care
Inpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
Treatment
Substance Abuse
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
Clinical Services
Group Therapy
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
Individual Therapy
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
