Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta - Withdrawal Stabilization

About Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta

Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta is a multi-departmental hospital in Henryetta, Oklahoma. They have a lot of the typical services you’d expect at a hospital like an emergency room and surgery and orthopedics but they also have a specialized program for drug and alcohol addiction called End Dependence.

End Dependence is an inpatient detox and stabilization program for adults with substance use disorder. For a lot of people, this is the first step on the recovery journey. You’ll have dedicated medical care and supervision as your body is withdrawing from drugs and alcohol.

The expert staff will make sure you’re safe and will keep you as comfortable as possible throughout the process.

Most clients are here for about three days or so. The staff can also help you plan and prepare the next stage of your recovery like a residential rehab or an advanced outpatient program. They’ll make sure you transition into the right level of care that’s best for you.

This program does its best to be as accessible to the community as possible. There’s transportation available and they accept Medicaid and Medicare. They work with several area tribal nations to serve their members and they accept many private insurance plans too.

It’s worth noting that there are some limitations though. This program can help with detox from certain substances like alcohol and opioids as well as methamphetamines and kratom. However, they don’t offer detox services for withdrawal from benzodiazepines. They also don’t treat people who are pregnant or are suicidal.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients seeking care in an outpatient rehab are often stepping down from intensive inpatient treatment or have chosen to remain in their home while in treatment. Outpatient programs offer a variety of services to provide clients with a full continuum of care. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are high frequency and intensity services for clients who require robust structure, supervision, and support. Outpatient treatment typically consists of psychotherapy, recovery education, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Oklahoma is highly recommended for those beginning recovery. As your body detoxes, withdrawal from substances such as alcohol, benzos, and opiates can cause severe physical symptoms. Health risks include seizures, hallucinations, heart palpitations, and severe dehydration. A clinical setting offers 24/7 medical care to treat these symptoms and make the detox process more comfortable.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The safest way to remove addictive substances from your body after you've become physically dependent is through a medically assisted detox. Usually performed in an inpatient setting, a team of licensed medical professionals are tasked with monitoring your health and helping to minimize the risks and physical discomfort caused by withdrawal symptoms. Medically assisted detox is often the first step in the recovery process. After your body is safely free of substances, you'll likely transition to an inpatient treatment program to continue your recovery.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Family therapy offers a safe space for family members to openly talk about their feelings and the challenges that addiction has triggered. This process helps to improve their understanding of the disease of addiction and supports the family's unified approach to the recovery journey.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Doctors here tend to misdiagnose people, and that only makes the person's condition worse. Better go somewhere where they treat you right.

I brought my daughter into the ER on 10/21/2024 and we were unable to enter the ER for a good 5 min. Lucky for us it wasn t a huge emergency but it very well could ve been. The clerk was rude, not only to us, but to another patient who came in. I used to work there doing the job she s doing and now I refuse to ever go back. I ll drive to Okmulgee or Glenpool

This is one of the worst hospitals I have ever had to be at. They sent my grandmother home three times while she was in full renal failure. She ended up in the ICU.

I went in violently ill and they automatically assumed I had covid or the flu. I told them I didn't think so and I thought I had food poisoning. They did a Covid test and a flu test which were both negative. Then did a ct scan and told me they "guessed" I had a bad stomach bug. The doctor came in and asked me if I drank!!!!' When I said no he wanted to know how I "partied". Which was irrelevant. I was offended and told him I had custody of a 5 year old and a 3 year old I don't have time to party. Then they sent me home. I actually begged to stay for a little bit because I had been so sick and had the kids and they didn't know what was going on. But they sent me home and called a prescription in to Okmulgee like I could drive that far. I didn't feel able to drive in the first place which is why I got someone to take me.

Spend the afternoon at the ER with my dad they thought he was having heart issues. Dr Gilden seen him very professional, he got to the bottom of things. Found out it was medication reaction. But Dr Gilden ran all kinds of test to make sure it wasnt heart related. Very friendly down to earth.
