The one Star is because they are very good with children, I got started on my sobriety there and the house is nice. With that being said, I would not recommend this program. It is a very difficult program although the staff are seemingly very nice and caring.Pros:It's heaven for a childThe house is niceThey have therapy on-siteTransportation is providedI believe the case managers have genuine intentions and are excellent at their jobs.Cons:You will eventually have to surrender any food stamp benefits. Food is purchased for the house and staff eat as well. You will get a $10 food stamp allowance for your family every week to pick out anything personal. This applies no matter the family size. The care or concern ends the moment you decide to exit the program. If you are not there to pack your things upon exit you will lose majority of your belongings. You will be required to complete the MRT book to graduate. The book is $27. This a program designed for inmates and it's content insists you have lived a life of manipulation and dishonesty. If you have your children placed with you there and do not stay in the program your children will be removed from your care. The door is always open, but if you leave you will lose something, your children, your belonging, or both in my case. There are no bars but they imprison you psychologically. I like to refer to it as "The gun line"It took me a while to decide to leave a review but I think it is necessary to have a realistic review on this place. There are more small things I'd like to mention but from the sake of being professional, I digress. Thanks for reading!

I went to this treatment program and it was the best thing I ever did for my addiction. Longer programs are more effective and they reunited me with my child and I have had full custody of him for over 4 years now. This is the longest I've ever been clean from drugs 5 years now. People who talk down on this program obviously did not invest themselves in the program to get the true help they needed. Literally the best thing I ever did I'd probably be dead if I hadn't gone here when I did. Thank you to all the staff there who helped save my life!

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I went to treatment here for about 4 months. I LOVED IT. I learned so much there, about addiction, parenting, how to be a decent human being etc. The staff are amazing.. they really go above and beyond, EVERY DAY, for their clients. Both of the Amys do such a great job at teaching the core classes and counseling to work on specific issues that have impacted your life. It s a trauma informed environment. It s also a sanctuary environment. I highly recommend IFW to any woman wanting help with her substance abuse issues because this place seriously changed my life. 100%.

This is an amazing program. I was a client. My bond with my son, and my overall confidence in being a mother, has improved tremendously. They will help heal the shattered parts of you, and untangle the webs of shame and trauma you've been caught up in.

Horrible. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Not therapeutic at all, they just admit people to get paid and let all kinds of drama go on.

This was the best place i have been to they help me so much to get my life back on track and get my kids back. I would say if you really need help this is the place to go. Just got to want it for yourself. And your family not for anyone else. Work the steps.

This place is full of crooked people that have been constantly threatening me with the separation of my family. This place needs to be shut down. They are full of sneaky and fake ways and demand conformity or ban you from seeing your loved ones.
