When Ichecked into this place, they took all my personal belongings. I had cash in my wallet. When I checked out, they told me they send my cash off to their bank. Why? It took me 2 months to get it back. Oh, and there's no HIPPA there. I can hear the nurses talking about their patients in the hallway. Glad I left that place. All they want is your insurance.

My mother was employed here for over 3 years and was such a devoted advocate for the patients here. She ensured that every single person who walked through these doors was treated with respect and felt like a person when society stigmatizes addiction. They fired her under new ownership, as well as all other former employees. They fired my mother under pretenses that she was too nice to patients, which at a rehabilitation facility you d expect that?My mother has over 12 year of experience in healthcare and in this field. She was a month away from a life saving back surgery and setting up FMLA as well as short term disability and they let her go a week before Christmas. She has never been written up, never had any formal discipline, and was always going above and beyond to ensure the patients felt supported during a trying time.If you are considering admitting yourself here or a loved one please do NOT. They ONLY care about money and do not care about the treatment process, their patients, or their families. If they can throw away a dedicated employee for being too nice to patients and making them sign documents to not sue, imagine what they ll do to their patients.

My brother struggled for years with an addiction to pills. I honestly thought he was a lost cause. He's been to other rehabs and nothing ever seemed to work. It was such a difficult battle, but GBR made it happen! Heather is genuinely such an amazing person. My brother isn't a people person but he got along so well with her and she made everything so much better. I honestly don't know if he would've made it without her!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for people in Florida who are struggling with drug addiction. There you can openly discuss the challenges and progress you're making without fear of judgment from your peers who experience many of the same things you are.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

As a short term therapeutic method, motivational interviewing in Florida requires only a couple of sessions. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to talk about your circumstances and any discrepancies between your current situation and future goals. You'll then decide for yourself what changes you want to make.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

The program good, counselors very good. Unfortunately the insurance dept. and coordinator are inept boarding on incompetent, despite being a self proclaimed insurance "expert". Payment in full is required up front, as GB is out of network with many, if not all carriers. ... Read More

GBR saved my uncle's life! He's been struggling with addiction for over 15 years and we didn't think he'd be able to win the battle. Thank you so much GBR!

I m not usually the type to leave a review, but I believe this one is warranted. I brought my daughter in a few months ago to receive treatment for alcoholism. Our experience at GBR began with the Admissions Director, Heather. My daughter was terrified to go into treatment. She has compound trauma and had burned most every bridge in her life. To be honest, I was the only one who hadn t walked away. . Heather spent almost 2 months talking to my daughter, building trust through shared experiences, and encouraging her to take a leap of faith. She listened to her cry, and listened to every reason she had not to go. She didn t give up, just kept meeting her resistance with rebuttal and counterpoints. My daughter had a lot of anger and fear related to the trauma she experienced. She was very scared when she arrived at GBR and all the staff were SO patient and supportive. From the chef to the techs, nurses and therapists, everyone was invested in giving my daughter a good experience and I could feel that the moment I walked in the door. The first few weeks were rough, I received many tearful , and sometimes even angry calls, but she made it through the program. She is a totally different person today. Her confidence and enthusiasm for life have returned and her smile is genuine. This experience felt very personal. I felt like they knew who we were. I never felt like a customer, I felt like GBR actually cared about us, and that is something you don t see very often. I am so thankful for GBR! Thank you all! I definitely recommend GBR to anyone seeking substance treatment.

GBR saved my life! Not only my life but saved my family also. They treat so much more than just the addiction. From Heather being there in the darkest times, making herself and their resources available to make sure I got the help I needed, up to Shay and other councilors teaching and guiding , even Mr Barnett taking time to speak to me and share his journey with me in a time I didn t feel deserving. They gave me hope and the tools I need to continue to live my life fully, with a sober mind and a great full heart! I cannot forget the amazing meals prepared by our wonderful Chefs, Sean and Karen.Thank you all at GBR!
