I have had a great experience with my counselor who helps me with everything regarding my mental health. My psychiatrist on the other hand started off great but when I had to apply for disability made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I have been in dire need of help from the facility more then once for clinical help and they just let the ball roll and don t return phone calls. When my psychiatrist was out sick they didn t get a separate doctor to cover the appointment knowing I was in immediate need for medication help. On one hand I am so very happy to have my counselor but on the other hand I m so disappointed with the other aspects of what could be a great facility.

Tough review. Ill keep it short. Providers here aren't bad at all but practice seemed to cut back over time on each session in the 4.5 years I was a patient working most of time as a truck driver to this date still. I actually did get well for a most of time but at end lost it on everyone quitting practice and burning bridges with them. It's goes both ways as far my how I was and my thoughts with experience there. 4 to 5 stars first 3 years and 3 at end of tenure as a patient. I blame myself for some of it and should have kept a journal on my progression.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients undergoing treatment at an outpatient rehab reside in their own homes and engage in counseling and recovery education sessions in the evening, at night, or on the weekend. This ensures clients' access to care while working, caregiving, or attending school. Outpatient treatment is often the next level of care for clients stepping down from inpatient care, though some clients enroll immediately after completing detox. Many programs offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) for those in alcohol or opioid recovery.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients in addiction recovery often enroll in inpatient rehabs to receive intensive, hands-on, highly supervised treatment. These programs are generally designed for clients exiting detox and those who are at an increased risk of relapse. Clients reside at the treatment center and engage in multiple psychotherapeutic sessions each week. Inpatient addiction counseling often includes individual, group, and family therapy. Education and life skills training are also often prioritized to promote sustained sobriety. Some inpatient rehabs include holistic therapies, such as massage and animal therapy.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in New Hampshire involves several steps to healing. The therapist will first help you identify stressful conditions currently in your life. You'll then identify your thoughts and beliefs about these challenges. Next, you'll identify inaccurate thoughts, and lastly you'll change those thought patterns, which will lead to changed behavior.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The goal of trauma therapy is to address the lingering emotional and physical effects that traumatic experiences can have on your life. Therapists help you to process the traumatic event so you can more easily manage your physical and emotional responses and develop compassion for yourself.

The focus of family therapy in New Hampshire is to strengthen the family unit by fostering mutual support among the members. Each member learns effective communication strategies that help to create a nurturing environment. This strength and family bonds and supports your loved one's path to recovery.

Ive been going here for probably the better part of 3 or so years now i feel its no better or worse than the other places ive been to for my bipolar disorder. I have had no issues with the staff but i also am seen anywhere from month to month or every 3 months it depends on how im doing when i go for my visit there and im also just going for medication only im not seeing anyone els but the staff that i deal with have always been in good spirits when i deal with them. If i had to choose anything i think the help ive gotten from the 2 places ive gone to since moving to nh 7 years ago i would say this is the better of the 2 places ive been.

I am a patient of this facility I have been coming here for probably a year which was the worst decision I ever made because of my insurance changing I had to switch providers my old provider never once would allow me to go without medication mind you this is a medication that people can potential he die without and it is due overdue and my doctor nowhas let it happen twice They are potentially putting peoples lives at risk especially when the patient did everything they were supposed to do the weekend help says sorry there's nothing we can do and my doctor won't answer their phone callscalled three times last week telling them that I was moving to Maine and keeping my doctor there because I only see her once a month and that my prescription was Filled and the new pharmacy information three times I called to ensure that this information was correctedI only see this doctor once a month it's a quick appointment I've had the same issues for many many years I've been on this medication for a long time and even still knowing how to life-threatening it is and at the pharmacy is closing now in our this is what they do their patientsit definitely is not ironic that the only two comments on this site are saying the same thing at this facility is letting patients labs on their medication knowing the damage that I can do especially when the patients have children to take care of and are disabledI have contacted the on call all weekend long my doctor is the doctor on call she has not returned their phone calls they've called her six times and she is the on-call doctor and is not returning phone calls
