About Granite Wellness Centers

Granite Wellness Centers provides addiction treatment services for teens and adults at locations across the state. At their Auburn, California facility, you’ll find detox, residential and outpatient services to help you break your dependency on drugs and alcohol. They accept self payment, private insurance and Medi-Cal.

Their residential facility is a modern, brightly furnished unit that can accommodate men and women and children 0 to 12 years old. Here, you can recover with 24/7 support from a multidisciplinary team of providers, including counselors, licensed therapists, physicians and social workers. You can stay in this unit for up to 90 days depending on the timeline set by your care team.

While on site, you’ll participate in individual and group counseling, educational programs and recreational therapy. You can also attend classes on topics related to recovery such as life skills, parenting techniques, budgeting and anger management. If you need to detox before starting your treatment, they’ll help you do so quickly and with minimal discomfort.

I like that their outpatient services are personalized and include lots of different treatment options. For example, in addition to individual and group therapy, they offer sessions for couples and families. You can also attend specialty groups that cover topics like juvenile anger management, literacy skills and relationship building. For pregnant or parenting women, there’s a special Mothers in Recovery group that includes counseling, 12 Step meetings and parenting classes.

A former client here says their counselor gave them guidance and clarity at a time when they needed it the most. They also noted that this kindness and understanding was extended to every member of the recovery group, which made a genuine difference.

I approached this service with some uncertainty, not knowing exactly what to expect. However, my counselor, Paul, turned out to be incredible. He provided immense support during a challenging period in my life, offering guidance and clarity when I was feeling lost. His flexibility in scheduling sessions was particularly appreciated, as it demonstrated his commitment to accommodating my needs. Moreover, Paul s kindness wasn t just limited to me. He consistently showed compassion and understanding towards everyone in our classes, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. This positive atmosphere was further enhanced by Christine, the friendly face at the front desk. Her cheerful demeanor, so evident even through phone conversations, never failed to brighten my day.I am truly grateful for the exceptional service I received. The team s professionalism, coupled with their genuine care, made a significant difference in my life. Thank you for going above and beyond in providing not just a service, but a truly supportive experience.

This office is a stool show. Could not get a straight answer. When I asked questions the information was erroneous. Made an extra trip because the manager had no clue. Really disappointed in how they run a business that I am required to participate in by law. Going to call their competitor tomorrow. Auburn office is terrible. I did by phone with the Roseville office in their parking lot what they should have already done. Thank you Roseville.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
When addicted, quitting your drug of choice suddenly can be dangerous. That's why experts agree a medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from the body. Usually done in an inpatient setting, your vitals signs and overall well being are consistently monitored and rechecked in order to keep you safe and ensure the detox is successful.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
postpartum-program thumbnail image
Postpartum Program
The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

For clients who are struggling with ambivalence toward change, motivational interviewing in California can help strengthen their commitment to change. Using a conversational method, the therapist helps you explore your motivations and empowers you to make the changes you desire.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

The goal of couples therapy in California is to strengthen the couple's relationship. The therapist may take one or more approaches to counseling which may include the Gottman method, emotionally focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic couple's therapy.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Horrible. Unprofessional. Far from HELPFUL. Rude. Chaotic. REPULSIVE AND DISGUSTING. I don't know how these people claim to help others, very far from the truth.

Extreme lack of professionalism with this provider. Don t expect any returned calls, scheduling is like pulling teeth, and make sure you keep track of your payments because they can and WILL take your money without updating your remaining balance so you end up paying hundreds extra for the lowest quality recovery assistance in the auburn area. Absolute garbage! An 18 month DUI program has been drug out for over 2 years because of the extreme lack of attention and initiative from these counselors. Due to covid payments have been made over the phone with no option of receiving a receipt so proving you paid what you paid is futile. 1 star because you can t rate it ZERO!!!! If you re actually looking for help (and not just listening to the ex drug addict counselors fantasize over their previous meth use) take your money elsewhere. Absolute joke to the recovery community.
