About GraceWay Recovery Residence
GraceWay Recovery Residence is a non-profit recovery community dedicated to providing women with the environment, tools, and employment needed to achieve and maintain long-term sobriety.
Abstinence-based recovery focuses on complete abstinence from all mind and mood altering drugs, thereby breaking the cycle of dependency and addiction. In order to achieve freedom from addiction, withdrawal of all mood and mind altering substances is necessary. The 12-Steps teaches how to cope with everyday ups and downs by living free of mind-altering substances and incorporating a daily program of action. Since 2003, GraceWay has provided a spiritual solution to the disease of addiction by adhering to a true 12-Step program. We’ve worked with countless women who’ve tried to find sobriety by taking other pathways, only to end up utterly defeated time and time again. At GraceWay, our team is dedicated to helping women achieve lifelong, sustainable, and complete recovery.
What Sets GraceWay Apart from Other Treatment Programs?
Our program is deeply rooted in the 12-Steps, which have consistently proven to be a solid foundation for lasting recovery. Our residents do more than simply learn about the 12-Step philosophy. They have a personal and authentic experience with the Steps themselves because they learn how to live by the principles that the steps provide. Our program is set apart from other treatment providers because we place a passionate emphasis on the 12-Step practice.
The 12-Steps are meant to be practiced, lived, and studied daily, and not simply just read. For almost 20 years, GraceWay has remained true to this methodology because evidence proves that engagement in the 12-Step spiritual program of action leads to long-term sobriety.
We know that recovery is a process, full of ups and downs, and at GraceWay it is our goal to help you learn how to live sober one day at a time. We expect you to be willing to do things differently and works towards healthy change. Our team will provide the support and accountability necessary to help you reach your goals.
Services Offered in GraceWays 90 Day Intensive Recovery Support Program:
Individual Recovery Support
The heart of GraceWay Recovery Residence is the 12-step methodology of Alcoholics Anonymous. We help women who have substance use disorder, as well as other process addictions such as disordered eating (bingeing, purging, restriction, exercise bulimia), gambling, self-harm, co-dependency, and cognitive-behavioral disorders. Our team has developed an in-depth 90 day curriculum, as well as our own 12-Step workbook and worksheets. Our residents are walked through the 12-Steps and their principles in a way that is engaging and immersive that motivates and empowers them to stay sober.
Our counselors work with residents to determine what their individual needs are and then develop a comprehensive recovery support plan that is continuously updated every 30 days.
Weekly Individuals Sessions
Residents meet with their counselor individually on a weekly basis. They receive one-on-one counseling in relapse prevention strategies, healthy coping skills, the 12-steps, codependency, anger management, healthy communication styles, employment preparation, and social skills to promote healthy sober living. They are supported in creating an effective relapse prevention plan and in understanding triggers that may increase relapse risks, as well as in overcoming any barriers that may inhibit their recovery process.
Groups
Groups are held 4 different times daily Monday through Friday. This totals up to 20 hours a week of group time. These groups are overseen by a trained peer support specialist or counselor and provide an opportunity to process their experiences, struggles, and challenges. Groups consist of process groups, educational groups, 12-Step groups, creative and art therapy, experiential groups, spiritual groups, and cognitive behavioral groups.
Nutrition and Exercise
Residents are provided 3 healthy meals each day and also prepare and cook these meals for their community. Each morning an allotted time is scheduled on campus for exercise. We also have memberships at 2 local gyms and use those memberships for different classes such as Yoga, Zumba, Tabata, etc. Residents receive a minimum of 4 to 5 hours of scheduled physical activity each week.
Life Skills Development
Our team provides one-on-one support to help residents develop necessary life skills. GraceWay is a homelike environment and each person has daily responsibilities just as any household would, which include chores, cooking, caring for the GraceWay dog (Tucker) and maintaining a schedule. The 12-Steps are a spiritual program of action, not a religious one. Through our one-on-one engagement with residents, we teach each person how to connect with a God of their own understanding. Many people struggle with the concept of God or Higher Power before they come to GraceWay; you need not be a religious person to find fulfillment in 12-Step recovery.
Our carefully crafted program guides residents to operate by spiritual principles such as honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness. Our entire curriculum promotes each person to engage in spiritual disciplines that are essential components of 12-Step recovery. The end result is substance-free living during the recovery process.
Relapse Prevention
Residents learn their patterns involving past relapses and also how to cope with relapse triggers. They gain new tools in the form of 12-Steps to help navigate the world sober. Our team will work with each person in group settings, as well as one-on-one to help develop and maintain this toolkit.
Job Readiness Training
We differentiate ourselves by providing a job readiness training program with our partner, The Bread House & Granary. When the time is deemed appropriate, residents may begin training at The Bread House, which opened in 2009. The Bread House is a health-conscious bakery and farm to table restaurant with a specialty coffee and juice bar that helps support GraceWay and keep program fees affordable. This training will begin after the first 30 days and consist of a few volunteer hours each week and does not constitute employment. If residents choose to transition into The Way sober living after 90 days then they can apply for employment at The Bread House. The Bread House specializes in freshly-milled whole wheat breads and baked goods and they exist to provide training to GraceWay residents in their wholesome and temptation free environment. There are many different areas for job training including a kitchen, lunch service, coffee and juice bar, bakery retail store, event space, and wholesale baking. This enables residents to not only learn job training skills, but also provides them with an opportunity to have a purpose again.
24/7 Staff Support
With a combined total of 51 years of sobriety, the staff at GraceWay Recovery Residence are here to assist residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. We are dedicated to helping each person learn how to live sober and reach their goals.
Family Program
GraceWay encourages continued family involvement throughout the recovery experience. We will provide communication to court and legal services if needed and keep families up to date on their loved ones progress. Each family member is required to attend at least 6 Al-Anon meetings to learn how to be a part of the solution moving forward. We provide families support and education on enabling behaviors, the disease of addiction, and work with them and their loved one to help restore a healthy relationship. For more information on our family program please find the link in the menu bar.
Transportation
Residents are provided transportation support via staff for the purposes of medical appointments, group outings, employment (if not working at The Bread House) and gym activities.
Program Fees
Admission Fee: $500 (first month only)
A one-time admission fee of $500 is added to the first month’s program fee as payment for the intake process.
Program Fee: $5,000 (monthly)
What’s included?
The cost of monthly tuition is $5,000 each month for the first 90 days. This includes daily groups (total of 4 each day), in-house 12-step meetings, staffing 24/7, weekly individual counseling, morning and evening mediation, life skills, spiritual guidance, family coaching, job training, recreational activities, all food costs, personal items including shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, bar soap, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, face cleanser, razors, laundry detergent, linens and towels, feminine products, paper, notebooks, pens, art supplies, AA and NA books, and a lifetime access of ongoing support from the GraceWay team.
Personal Monies: $200 (monthly)
While we attempt to make the fee fairly encompassing, nicotine products and other personal care items (for example, contact solution) are not included in the monthly program fee. Sober Living at The Way Apartments
The Way Sober Living Apartments is committed to providing a safe and structured living environment, while also incorporating recovery support services to encourage long-term sobriety. Residents who wish to transition into sober living upon completion of the GraceWay program must first be accepted into that program. Acceptance is given by the community at the sober living, as well as by a Recovery Board. Residents can remain in sober living for a period of 90 days on a month to month basis, and program fees are $1200 per month. The Way Sober Living Apartments are located right next door to GraceWay Recovery Residence and continue to provide the upmost support, structure, and accountability. The Way works as the bridge between intensive recovery support and fully independent living.

Treatments
A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
