Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Grace House provides a long term residential substance abuse treatment program that encourages achievement, the recognition and development of one’s assets and builds self-worth as clients learn to accept responsibility for their behavior in a three-phase program: 1. Intensive Stabilization: The program offers at least 20 hours per week of a combination of medium-intensity clinical and recovery-focused services. During the first 14 days at Grace House, clients are in the Intensive Stabilization phase of treatment and have limited contact with individuals outside of Grace House. This time is used to assist each client in gaining insight into her addiction and to allow program staff to observe new clients without the confusion of outside influences. 2. Primary: In accordance with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria the program offers a combination of low- intensity clinical and recovery –focused services. Treatment is directed toward applying recovery skills, preventing relapse, improving emotional functioning, promoting personal responsibility and reintegrating the individual into the worlds of work, education and family life. Services provided are structured activities, which include both individual and group therapy. These services are based on an individualized treatment plan. 3. Re-Entry / Transition: Clients seek employment, gain employment, pursue vocational training and/or further education.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

While each drug rehab in Louisiana offers unique elements, recovery support often follows a similar pattern. Detox is followed by inpatient and/or outpatient care, then aftercare support is provided once the participant completes the initial program.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

If it weren't for Bridge House I'd be in a bind. Not only did BH sober me up but it took care of me medically, in which I found out I had a very serious infection in my leg due to a rod and had to have immediate surgery. My leg had been like that for years but since BH provides medical evaluations and provides rides to the hospital and much more I still have my leg, without the pain and infection. BH provided me with access to get my license, SS card, birth certicate and MY GLASSES! I had idea how bad my eyes were until BH helped me see...SEE what I did there..LOL..Awesome Place, u gotta give it a chance and not leave cuz ur uncomfortable at first.

I was at Grace House almost 2 years ago. Now I had been to several rehabs fought addiction for years. I can honestly say this place saved my life. It was not an easy time for me. Both of my parents passed away while I was here. Mrs Taylor was amazing. Mrs Stephanie very caring an understanding. Mrs T the tech (both of them) awesome. Now I don't know if she is still there but Chloe is the most horrible woman I have ever seen in my life. She's evil. She's cold an has no feelings. I have my own personal feelings towards her. It's strict an hard. This is what every addict/ alcoholic needs

I've never personally been, but I have a family member that went from opiate iv addict in jail, to this place, she FOLLOWED THE RULES (I see a lot of complaining about the facility trying to "control" them, but it's literally the simplest of rules and mutual respect), now she has been sober 8ish years, and has a wonderful executive position in a rehab facility, much like this one, salary, has her mama living with her and can actually help HER now. Why yall wanna jump on here and complain about a place having strict rules? I'm a recovering addict myself, and if u think some rules are to much to follow, how do u ever expect to be a functioning SOBER ADULT? Jobs have rules, clubs, schools, let's not forget that these things called LAWS, very similar to "RuLeS", how do u expect to ever or stay sober if u can't follow rules. I have seen what this program can do for someone, 1ST HAND, who WANTS to get clean, and is WILLING to SUBMIT (ik we don't like to hear that word much, but look where our way of thinking got us) to rigorously working a proven program... YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER, BUT U CAN'T MAKE EM DRINK...... Addicts only get clean when THEY want to.

One thing I can share with you about this place is that they're different. Different in that most of the employees who are there to help you to achieve sobriety actually care. They do care and they do want you to get sober and stay sober.

They're killing people by sending addicts back out onto the street if they won't get the covid vaccine, which is now proven to have very harmful serious side effects to the heart and cardiovascular system, especially to young men. It's not speculation or conspiracy anymore, it's proven. There are physicians on main stream media news saying the vaccine isn't safe and should be pulled from the market. "They didn't care when they was shootin dope" They were lucky enough to survive that and make it through those doors, only to be told you now need to further risk your life by taking a proven unsafe vaccine that does not even provide immunity to covid just so bridgehouse can get their funding. Hope that funding is worth more than the money yall we're getting for the 5 clients in one day yall kicked out for for not being able to make decisions about their own bodies. I used to send everyone to bridgehouse, they were an amazing life saving organization, but they too are now added to the list of organizations that money rules. "Any lengths" used to be somewhere bridgehouse went to help people stay sober, and now they use that saying to make these addicts feel more hopeless as they send them back out onto the street for not taking a vaccine. They're killing people, sending them back to shooting dope on the streets for money. Shame on bridgehouse. Send your loved ones somewhere else so they have a fighting chance instead of being surrounded by manipulative money hungry fact ignoring administrators who have lost their way. The founder of bridgehouse would be appalled. Shame on you people.
