outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs offer high-level care for clients as an increased risk of relapse, including those in early recovery, those with a strong history of relapse, and those experiencing a crisis. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in nine to 20 hours of care weekly, with treatment modalities that combine psychotherapy and recovery education, and holistic therapies, such as acupuncture and animal therapy. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is also common in alcohol and/or opioid recovery.

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs are based on a model of continuing care and the premise that recovery is a life-long process requiring ongoing client support. Many rehab aftercare services include outpatient care, but clients often continue to receive support after being discharged from formal treatment. Case managers and care teams typically collaborate with clients to design their long-term care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction, among other services.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers intensive addiction treatment while allowing you to return home each day. It can serve as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or as a step-down option. Depending on your needs, PHP treatment typically averages 90 days with a weekly requirement of 6-8 hours a day. PHP treatment offers a variety of therapeutic interventions such as individual counseling, group therapy, and psychoeducation. Oftentimes PHP treatment can be fully covered by insurance.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Ridding the body of harmful, addictive substances, also known as detoxification, is usually the first phase of recovery. Those going through medically assisted detox can be administered medications by a team of medical professionals who are on-site 24/7 to provide different types of therapies that help mitigate withdrawal symptoms.

Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Together with an experienced trauma therapist, you work on healing emotional wounds from traumatic experiences within a trauma therapy environment. Your therapist will help you process the experience of the trauma, which promotes emotional healing and improves your overall mental health.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

eye-movement iconEye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR is a therapeutic modality originally developed to help process trauma. In an EMDR session, a patient is prompted to undergo eye movements that mimic those of REM sleep. This is accomplished by watching a therapist's finger move back and forth across, or following a bar of light. The goal is repetitive sets of eye movements that help the brain reprocess memory, which can significantly reduce the intensity of remembered traumatic incidents. Associated memories can heal simultaneously, leaving patients significantly calmer, more stable, and more emotionally relaxed.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

nutritional-therapy iconNutritional Therapy

recreational-therapy iconRecreational Therapy

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy in Texas can look different for each person. You may engage in fitness activities, community service, culinary arts, or art therapy, for example. The goal is to provide a safe setting where you can interact with your environment and work through emotions and experiences with the help of that activity and the guidance of a therapist.

I ve had an amazing experience with Grace Counseling as a participant as well as in the mental health provider role. The yoga therapy sessions are very helpful! The free CEUs are very professionally done (relevant topics, expert presenters, well organized etc.).

The place is great and the staff is very helpful, although I would NOT recommend the counselor Nicolette. Today I had a session with her in the afternoon and she made me feel so uncomfortable the entire time. She was literally slouched in her chair on her computer the entire time and never looked at me. She was dressed like she just got out of bed and I found that very disrespectful because Counseling is a professional job why would you decide to show up to your job in your living room clothing? Very bad impression. Ifelt like I was talking to a robot. She never smiled, she never had any facial expressions on her face, she never looked me in my eyes and communicated like a normal human being, and she was extremely distant and passionless. It appeared like she did not care or enjoy her job. A patient should never feel like their therapist does not care. I literally left the room feeling worse than when I walked in. Terrible experience with her I really do not recommend her!!!

DO NOT go here for IOP. Worst experience ever. They are more concerned about getting paid and keeping you there as long as possible than anything. Garbage, stay away!

Response from the owner1 year ago
I am so sorry to hear that your experience was less than optimal. We treat our clients based on individual progress. We do often have longer stays than other centers based on what research has found to be optimal and routinely scholarship people when their insurance no longer pays. Please reach out to our Practice Administrator so we can better address your specific concerns.
