I would like to share my journey toward sobriety and the pivotal role that ADC played in my recovery. Initially, I felt uncertain about seeking help, but I soon realized that ADC was the right choice for me. The compassionate and dedicated staff made a significant difference in my experience.Ray, my case manager, was instrumental in alleviating my concerns and putting me at ease from the very beginning. I also encountered support from Andreas and Original, who further contributed to my comfort and confidence in the program. Their professionalism and genuine care have been invaluable in guiding me on my path to recovery.I am truly grateful for the support I received at ADC, and I look forward to continuing my journey toward lasting sobriety.

My son has been in this program for 10 months and his growth is remarkable! We adopted he and his little brother when he was 9; we soon found out about some horrific trauma that he had endured and realized he needed help beyond what we could provide. SHA has proven to be the answer to our prayers. We live in the same county as SHA and I have personally spoken there several times in the past prior to my so attending. I ve always been impressed with their work. I have worked with teenagers for 30 years at some of the largest SBC churches in America, what I see happening in my son is a miracle and we are grateful. I would highly recommend your consideration of this program if the traditional education system is not meeting your needs, I give this recommendation without hesitation!

I don't even know where to start. I came into Angel House 18 Months ago a hopeless addict that knew absolutely nothing about life. When I got here I had not a dime to my name, my clothes were scattered from Atlanta to Alabama, I had never held a job successfully, or had a healthy relationship in my life. Now I have been working as an Accountant/Office Manager for a solid year, I am financially stable, have my own house and car, but most importantly I have HEALTHY relationships with my family and friends that grow stronger by the day. Non of that ever felt possible until the Angel House made me realize how capable I really am. This place changed it for me, beyond anything I could have ever expected. It brings me to tears to even think about. I have NEVER had people care about me the way staff did. I never once felt like a case in a folder, and was always made to feel that what I had to say was important. I felt like someone who's voice mattered for the first time. Brooke Boyette would be running around the office trying to put out so many fires, help so many people at the same time, but not one time did she EVER tell me she didn't have time to talk and that still holds true today. Since I graduated I still call her on a daily basis and complain about life, but guess what... shes there to listen. This program does more than just show you how to live life clean. It shows you how to love again, let others love you, and gives you a family that you can hold onto forever. If your willing to fight for your life and come out on the other side you quickly realize that nothing is personal and its all spiritual. So that brings me to the director Angela. This lady spent hours and I mean HOURS on end fighting for my life when I didn't want to fight for it myself. I say hours because I was pretty stubborn and had a hard time opening my ears when it was time for me to listen. Angela would sit and talk with me no matter how long it took, till she was sure that I had heard her. She didn't have to do that. She could have left when the office closed at 7 "I had her there late MANY nights", she could have not answered her phone on a Sunday when I found out my mom relapsed after 10 years sober and stayed on the phone with me for over an hour, she didn't have to show up in the middle of the night when we needed her, she didn't have to fight so hard for ME and MY life but guess what... SHE DID!! Not only did she do it for me but continues to do it for every women that steps foot into that program. Her compassion for the work she does is beyond anything I have ever witnessed before. She showed me how to be a better person Spiritually, Mentally, and Financially. These women are hero's and a grateful recovering addict can quickly realize the lengths they go to for ALL women that come through the program. So if your ready and need to go somewhere that is going to truly change your life. You can find it at Angel House as long as your ready.

If you’re looking for a Christian-based program, this is one of the best places to consider. From personal experience, I attended this program back in October 2016 at the age of 20. At that time, I had no direction or discipline in my life. Waypoint Ministry introduced me to both—and so much more. During the first 30 days of the program, participants go through a “blackout period.” During this time, we weren’t allowed to exercise, as it allowed our bodies to recover from years of drug use and unhealthy lifestyle choices. After 30 days, we were allowed to begin exercising, which was a turning point for me. It has now been eight years since I graduated from the program. I still stay in contact with the men I attended with, and I cherish the fellowship I experienced there. One of the most impactful parts of the program for me was working in the thrift store. It was a fantastic learning opportunity that taught me soft skills I still use today. Because of that experience, I now enjoy visiting thrift stores and looking for treasures, knowing how much thought and effort goes into sorting donations, stocking the storefront and clothing racks, and even selling items online. Sadly, I’ve lost a couple of friends over the years because they chose to return to their old lifestyles. However, I’ve also witnessed countless examples of broken men entering the program and leaving as spiritual giants. Waypoint Ministry opened doors for me to participate in missions trips, youth camps, and even spreading the gospel in prisons. As of 2025, I’m still sober and stay connected with a few people from Waypoint. If you had told me years ago that my life would turn out this way, I wouldn’t have believed you. If I could sum up this program in one word, it’s love. I came to Waypoint broken and scared, but this place gave me the opportunity to slow down, examine my life and upbringing, and find peace.
