I have been through a couple of rehabs, both were great experiences in their own way, but I greatly appreciated the staff here, from techs to nurses to counselors. Many have been through recovery themselves, and the level of care and empathy was apparent from day 1. They handled my detox well... I still had symptoms, which is expected, but they made me as comfortable as possible. I'm not sure where the negative feedback is coming from, because after my brother passed and I relapsed, they did everything possible to help get me back on the right track. The groups are educational and worth attending, and I absolutely loved small group and Experiential days. Charlie, Julia, Jen, Deb, Alexa, John, and Jess were all amazing and truly cared about our recovery. Highly recommend for anyone who is ready to start their recovery journey. Thank you, Blue Ridge.

I have been here a couple of times for ER visits which all went well and had great staff, but yesterday I had to go in for surgery through my OB. I lost my second pregnancy and was receiving a d&c procedure. The entire northside staff was very kind to my husband and I and got to know us before the procedure. They gave us information for pregnancy loss support which was very helpful and a card that noted the final resting place for our baby, which was helpful to our healing. I really liked our pre-op nurses Pam and the other lady that was with her (I am not good with names), they were so wonderful. When I woke up after the surgery, I immediately noticed my iv was burning a lot and I had a lot of bad cramping. Without saying anything I just started crying from the pain because I had just woken up and was still trying to get it together. Immediately the post-op nurse noticed and asked me what was wrong, fixed the problem right away, switched my iv to a different hand and got more pain meds on board, made sure that helped, and asked if I wanted them to get my husband to which I said yes so he was by my side right away. I wish I remembered this nurses name, I will not forget her kindness and attentiveness and care. If you see her name in my chart, please recognize her for being a great nurse. The anesthesia team was very noce and introduced themselves beforehand. The nurses swapped shifts and the nurse who ended up discharging me was also extremely kind. I have only ever had my wisdom teeth removed, and they were doing general anesthesia for this which I had never had before, so I was very nervous but the whole team made it easier. Thank you northside for providing the best care in a devastating time for us.

It saddens me to see such a low rating for this facility. I think people are more likely to make an effort to leave a bad review than to leave a good one. Though, I can only speak of my experience here.I moved to the area from Cobb county. And have been in and out of the ER and specialists offices through the Wellstar system there. You want to experience short staffing and an overall attitude of distain for the sick, go experience Kennestone Hospital. Maybe after that you would find that NGMC is a real gem.In only 6 months of living here, I have had to go to NGMC Dahlonega ER on 400 twice for severe gut pain. Twice, I was shipped by ambulance to Gainesville because they have the ability to do this type of surgery and have the specialists I needed. Both locations were wonderful to deal with. I was seen promptly and given an amazing amount of empathy and care. From the registration people right down to floor nurses and housekeepers. Even the ambulance drivers treated me with kid gloves. I can't count how many times I have been told, "I'm going to pray for you." These people have been nothing short of angels.Not to mention the fact that I have circled the drain in ER's back in Cobb County and never got a proper diagnosis. I was about to give up and take the explanation that I am just anxious and have panic attacks with GERD. Then the folks at NGMC found a mass in my gut. I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FOR YEARS!EVERY sector of healthcare is short staffed. Do we forget COVID? A lot of healthcare professionals left the industry altogether. I personally couldn't do what these people do and still have such a kind demeanor.I have a long road ahead of me. And I am just grateful beyond measure I moved from Cobb County to this area so I can receive care through NGMC.

Im currently a client on methadone that has moved from Ca. to Ga. It was spur of the moment with no time to make arrangements. I spoke with ERIC on Healthqwests csr dept based on New Jersey. Fyi. Ive been in tech supt, customer service, Quality Assurance & M.I.S. For over 30 yrs Ive worn a headset and have been helping customers. Ive ALWAYS gone above and beyond to help, which is why I can say that ERIC assessed my dilemma for what it was and did his best to move Heaven and earth for me to get me the help i needed 2 days ago. He had an entire queue to help and he took my case as personal as was needed to help me. Moving here I have to change my Medicaid to Ga. which is NOT ez or quick. And I, having heart disease and 5 stents in my heart from 2 heart attacks. Short version of of i didn't get help and go into withdrawl the strain on my heart would no doubt KILL me. The man devoted most of his day trying to get my situation straightened out. Im detailing this because I want you to know this was the BEST service ive ever received in my 60 plus years on this planet, and it happened when my literal life was on the line. Healthqwest cant be beat if you want genuine effort with your help. The prices are competitive but you can't go wrong using them.Ill answer any question or comment too. The medication I take is no joke. I take it for a broken back I got when I was year ended on my motorcycle at a red light. I take it for Pain mgmt.Its a serious subject and serious things happen with it....and more without it. My children receive services at Avita in Cleveland it's by far the best location in my opinion the front desk staff is always so engaging with my kids and the other staff is so engaging and empathetic my three favorite people in this office is the front desk, nurse, and male counselor.
