Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) evolve with clients' changing needs and are often well-suited for clients exiting inpatient rehab and those at an increased relapse risk. These programs typically involve between nine and 20 hours of treatment weekly, with the intensity and frequency of care decreasing as clients stabilize. Most intensive outpatient rehabs integrate a variety of treatment modalities to maintain a high level of individualized care. Services generally include counseling, recovery education, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs offer a complete continuum of care for clients in the maintenance phase of recovery and are predicated on the idea that addiction disease is a chronic condition prone to relapse and warranting continuing care. Clients collaborate with their care team and case manager to access the specific rehab aftercare services they need to promote their sustained sobriety. Peer coaching, relapse prevention services, career counseling, and 12 step program induction are common in these programs.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs are based on a model of life-long recovery and are rooted in peer support and spiritual development. Regular attendance at 12 step meetings is the cornerstone of treatment, as is the selection of a peer sponsor to guide participants through the steps of recovery. These steps are based on non-denominational spiritual principles and are designed to foster self-awareness, forgiveness, acceptance, and accountability. Specialized programs are widely available, including programs for teens, seniors, and families.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

A medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive drugs and alcohol from your body. A team of licensed medical professionals will look after you 24/7 to monitor your health, help minimize discomfort, and provide medications if necessary to alleviate any withdrawal symptoms. This process is typically the first step in your recovery and may take around 5-7 days, although length will depend on your individual needs.

I cannot say enough about the positive experience my son and I had in working with the people at Genesis. They are proficient in their business and kind to everyone that walks through their door. They treated my son with respect and compassion in what we all hope is his first and last situation that required him to be there. They took their time to get to know my son. They did not treat him like a number and were helpful throughout the process of completing the assessment and classes. I would recommend their services to anyone in need of DWI services.

The employees aren't very knowledgeable about there multiple locations. I was told I didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for the telephone # to the Louisburg,NC location. But I had it all straightened out myself. And I went with the Louisburg location instead of Raleigh. Some people don't deserve to be employed. But God willing they will choke on a

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience!I had tried with another service in the area, First Step, and found them more suitable for different clientele. My assessments were nail-biting experiences that felt like lie detector tests. Then there was a drug test involved in the last assessment. Why wasn't there one during my first assessment? Also, passing a drug test isn't a standard requirement for obtaining a driver's license. During the 2nd assessment, they threatened to alert my probation officer when I expressed skepticism about a procedure. I'm not even ON probation. It's anxiety inducing thinking about spending 40-50 hours with them. No thanks. I'm not trying to expose my brain to therapy in a potentially toxic environment.Genesis didn't treat me like an addict. I didn't have to prepare and wait for the assessment in so many ways like I did before. They were appropriately careful to set many boundaries in conversation to maintain the generic basic service as advertised. They gave me half the hours the other place was going to give me, and the program itself wasn't cringeworthy either! Completing AA without being bothered emotionally was the most important part of this whole thing for me.I'll admit, I was sitting next to some of the people at some sessions that I was specifically scared to be around. I was scared of being haunted later by intense testimonies and conversations. This is where the brilliance of Genesis truly shines. They were able to direct everyone towards easy and comfortable sessions, all sharing in the same feeling and vibe. No one was ever put on the spot more than they wanted to be. Apprehensiveness of any kind was a rarity at any of my 8 sessions. If you want to avoid the nightmare of depressing activities involved in bouncing back from a drunk driving charge, then Genesis is a beautiful place to complete AA and Habitat For Humanity is a beautiful place for community service.

Outstanding service in a clean and confidential location. The service I received was prompt and orderly without the excessive mandatory hours. Even though the classes are required, they do try not to max them out for the individual. Strongly recommend and bless all of you with a healthy recovery.

So thankful for this place and mostly thankful for the staff. After getting an assessment done at another company, I was extremely discouraged from wanting to take these classes and had no interest of getting my life back on track. I was lucky enough to have Genesis recommended to me. I felt comfortable, welcomed and not judged through every step of the process with them. I can not say enough good things at Julius and his teaching style. He makes you feel understood and gives you comfort in finding respect and peace within yourself again. I hope I will never have to use their services again but in a weird way I am sad that I won't see them anymore - they helped and affected me more than I thought possible. Thank you all for what you do.

Gregory was extremely helpful resolving my issues with NC DMV. I'm out of state and was unable to resolve a blemish that I was unaware I had on my driving record. Within days of my initial call to Genesis, Mr. Dockery was able to assist with my paperwork and quickly had my record cleared with the state. Thank you Gregory and team Genesis for your expedient service and assistance!
