Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Of all the -- far too many -- sober and halfway houses I've lived in, in five different cities, Freedom House is by far the best. It is clean, we'll run and we'll maintained. (Most aren't). The owner and manager genuinely care about our recovery and sobriety. They strongly urge attendance at AA or NA meetings without being "Natzi's," about it.

i was welcomed to the Freedom House after spending 8 days in PBG hospital. i arrived with literally nothing. Everyone was so kind and generous to help with clothes and food and rides to meetings. Freedom house is clean and in a nice neighborhood. Plenty of local meetings to get to by bicycle, bike, or walking. Ive been here 8 months now and over the last 6 years been through many many sober houses, freedom house being one of the best ones. People who actually care, people with significant clean time, who are willing to listen, talk and make suggestions to try and help in my recovery. Super grateful for Anthony and his staff and clients for helping me on my journey.

Other than very pricey in home Rehabilitation Programs this place was the best experience that I could have ever wished for in this area of Florida to receive the help that I needed in my Recovery. Mr. Anthony Finaldi helped me get through my probation term in 2009 along side of my very close friend Jeffrey Rhule who was there anytime I ever needed anything to help me stay Sober & Clean from Drugs. He has since passed....However he has inspired me through his life as he left it & his new life with us in Heaven to never give up & persevere through patience & understanding. Several years later I returned to Freedom House for Anthony's Halfway House Program. Through trial and error I reframed from limiting myself to good enough & learned how to broaden my horizons of self acceptance to acheive higher levels of goals in my life based on self awareness as well as interest in my self as an assest instead of a man who is broken beyond repair. I wanted to thank all of the guy's very much from the bottom of my heart. I'll always miss all of you. Especially Vinny & good luck in all of you're future endeavors my old friend. I always knew that you would excel Mr. Perri III. Last but definitely not least Mr. Jacob Cutchin, thank you very much for the family favor...I'll always cherish that alright my brother. I have a photo project of your's that you sent me which I am going to have framed. You're a top of the line Photographer & a good hugger. Have a good day everbody....Peace.Much Love,Petey

Wow!! I will be leaving on Sunday to move back to Houston; so that I may continue sobriety and go back to school. The reason that I have finally made this decision is because freedom House and the family that came with it. At freedom House we don't leave any man or woman behind. We care for each other and are kind to each other not because we think it's right; but because we are men and women as a family in sobriety. Anthony and Vinny mean the world to me and I would do anything to show them how much joy they have brought to my life. If it wasn't for freedom House I could be running the streets of plan beach county or even worse not be alive.Thank you so much anthony and Vinny for bringing me in and teaching me how to be a man. Much love ,Jake
