About Four Rivers Outreach
Four Rivers Outreach Life Renewal Program is a treatment center located in Sherman, Texas. They assist adults who are struggling with co-occurring and substance abuse disorders. Their program is 12 months long and divided into three phases.
While you are receiving services, during your time off you can explore the area during your time off. Some places to check out and see are the Harber Wildlife Museum, Sherman Skateland and the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. These offer great opportunities for sober recreation and also give you the chance to indulge in nature therapy.
Phase one of the recovery process will be the first 30 days. During this time, they will show you how to successfully manage day to day life by developing structure and creating a relapse prevention program.
Once you’ve completed this phase, you’ll transition into the second one. It will be seven months long and emphasize overall wellness. You’ll learn how to live in balance and focus on living just for today. They will help you develop coping skills, manage stress and understand the power of patience.
The next and final phase will be four months long. During this time, your care team will discuss aftercare planning. They’ll explain what you’ll experience once you complete their program, steps you need to take and how to find full-time employment. They can even connect you with work opportunities around the community, which may include working at a nearby dental clinic, their thrift store, worksite cleanup or a printing and graphics company to strengthen job development skills.
Prior to graduation from the program, they want to make sure you’ve achieved certain goals. These include finding reliable housing, steady income, a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
Their phase four of the program is tailored to men who have graduated from the program successfully. In this phase, they can provide safe, supportive dorm-style living with a laundry room, private bathrooms, meals and a kitchen.

Addiction Treatments
Treatments
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.
Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.
