About 4C Health

Four County Counseling Center is a non-profit community mental health center located in Logansport, Indiana. They are invested in the behavioral health needs of children, adolescents, adults, and families in their rural Indiana communities.

Four County Counseling Center provides mental health treatment, dual diagnosis treatment, and outpatient programming services.

The outpatient programming at Four County Counseling Center is for those who can live at home or in a sober living environment and undergo treatment while maintaining their personal and professional responsibilities. This program is best suited for those who do not need a high level of care and monitoring. Mental health, dual diagnosis, and substance use disorders are treated. Individual therapy, group therapy, and end psycho-educational classes are offered.

Individual therapy creates the space to explore the psychological challenges associated with the addiction. With the help of a professional, individuals are given the space and direction to talk about and process their emotions. Often this includes unresolved trauma, anger, depression, anxiety, and the need for more control or autonomy in life.

Group therapy involves treatment through the process of connecting in a group setting to discuss and work through mental, emotional, and physical issues. There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more.

Mental health treatment focuses on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and other challenging psychiatric conditions. Individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy all serve as ways to deliver mental health support. These services can be administered while in an inpatient setting, within an outpatient setting, or at a clinical office.

Dual Diagnosis, often referred to as having co-occurring disorders, is when two or more mental health concerns present themselves simultaneously. It is very common for those who struggle with addiction to also have an underlying mental health concern such as anxiety, depression, or a diagnosable psychiatric disorder. Without proper treatment of the mental health issue at hand, getting and staying sober can be difficult. By treating both the substance use disorder and the mental health needs concurrently, a greater chance for long-term sobriety is achieved.

Nothing but incompetent so called Dr's here! Don't waste your time. You won't get any help here. My son waited 3 months for an appointment. She acted like she was to good to help him. Abbie was her name. She needs a different job. One that does not intell in helping anybody. Recycle place would be good for her! I'm very disappointed in the outcome of all this so called help.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Individual, couples, and family therapy for all age ranges. Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

For long-term recovery from drug addiction, drug rehab in Indiana is often key. This treatment gives individuals who are struggling with a substance use disorder the tools to manage their disorder and achieve long-term sobriety.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational interviewing aims to stimulate the client's personal motivation and commitment to change. Rather than receive advice and warnings from the therapist, the client is given the opportunity to share their concerns and reach their own conclusions.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Validated and encouraged my abuser, surprise surprise, he's worse than before , I've been fighting him for the last 72 hours. thank you 4 validating his intention and his behavior and his actions towards his wife and children so much so that he got worse. I'm wondering if you guys offer child therapy too cause we need it now. Man pulled a stunt to get out of being an adult and left his kids behind walked out of 4c encouraged to get a side chic. This place sucks some of the med providers think they know how you feel and what is going on in your head and all they want to do is push pills and medicate the symptoms and not get to the root cause and try to fix it I'm glad I'm no longer a client and I will not return and will refer anyone and everyone away from there

Case managers are wonderful. They seriously prove their care for my child's best interests. Facility seems severely lacking. My child's therapist does not seem to truly engage him and took way too long to schedule a psych eval. When they called about the appointment they set up they didnt tell me where to go. When I called to find out the person was very rude. Now, the day before the appointment, it has to be rescheduled due to them not being able to do an in person and its going to take over a month... Not happy.

I have been in counseling since I was 16 for abuse and have had many therapists over the years and I have to say this place is the one of the worst service s I have ever received. They offer absolutely no advice or help in any way for my past or current issues. Very disappointed. The people are very nice, they just don t seem to have a clue on how to be a therapist.

The inpatient treatment was terrible. It was dirty, their beds were literally jail cell beds, and the majority of the staff were apathetic instead of caring and actually giving patients decent attention. When I was in there, they weren t listening to any of my needs. I was disturbed by how uncomfortable it was in there, not to mention how disorganized their groups were. Everything seemed unprepared. I wouldn t recommend ANYONE to go inpatient at this place. I m going to attempt therapy with them soon, but I don t have my hopes up to actually get any help.
