Y'all...... How are you going to put both a "swallow" and "absolutely don't swallow" on the same label. I googled it and you can't swallow it..........y'all fishing to get someone sicker or a fat lawsuitUpdate: Please get new laboratory staff. On top of forgetting blood tests (I kid you not) they act like they hate you for showing up. This isn't fantastic as someone who gets anxious with blood draws.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients who are in early recovery, leaving detox, or experiencing a crisis often require the intensive treatment of an inpatient rehab facility. Clients in inpatient care receive robust clinical supervision, housing, and meals, allowing them to focus exclusively on their recovery while they stabilize. The primary treatment modalities used in most inpatient centers include extensive addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Many drug rehabs also offer holistic therapies, such as music, art, fitness, and experiential therapies.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Known as the first step of the addiction recovery process, medical detox is the removal of addictive drugs and alcohol from your body and helping manage physical withdrawal. Medically assisted detox takes place in an inpatient setting where you will be closely monitored by a team of medical professionals to ensure your maximum health and safety. Medications like Suboxone or Vivitrol may be administered if needed to alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. This process is typically at least partially covered by most insurance plans.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enroll in drug rehab in Virginia, a treatment plan is designed by professional staff in order to help you overcome drug addiction and modify addictive behaviors. This may include evidence-based treatments, group and individual therapy, and relapse prevention.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

The people that work in the lab are the rudest people I have ever met in my entire life. They have no people skills at all. I tried making small talk to the lady taking my blood to make things less awkward and she completely ignored me and put in airpods. People like this need to work in the back not around people.

Absolutely terrible! My son was diagnosed with pneumonia 4 days ago at an urgent care. We made an appointment with Dumfries Health Center for a follow up due to his oxygen saturation % being low. The doctor was very rude. He told me to ignore the oxygen sats because he looks fine . He also said he was getting better. (Back story: at the urgent care visit his lungs sounded clear but the dr did an X-ray anyway and he has a severe case with pneumonia in both the bottom and middle lobes of the right lung) At todays visit the doctor said he still sounds congested. I asked if that was an improvement since they were clear the last time. He ignored my question and said he s fine. I brought up the oxygen sats again and he asked me what I wanted done. I asked for repeat X-rays to make sure it hadn t gotten worse since that was what the urgent care doctor recommended and he refused saying, his temp is gone and he s getting better. Instead he asked me if I wanted him to call in a second antibiotic. I accepted the antibiotic since he wasn t willing to do anything else. All I wanted was to make sure nothing was wrong since his oxygen sats were low and he did the opposite by telling me to IGNORE them.

Easily one of the worst medical institutions I ve experienced during my time in and after the military. The medical professionals are great, it s the reception and other staff that make the location unbearable. I ve had receptionists and appointment line personnel initiate arguments and verbal altercations with me on more than one occasion.I intend to request a change of venue for my family s health care needs and recommend staying away from this place.

This clinic had me leaving there in TEARS! The staff are so rude and inhumane. I had to go for lab work and the ladies working there are so rude. I hate needles and hate seeing my blood drawn. This woman didn't even give me a warning when she harshly stuck the needle in my arm! I hate calling them to make appointments because they always sound so annoyed and unfriendly. I have never interacted with such rude medical workers in my life.

Why so many negative reviews for this clinic? I have an idea. I applied for a healthcare position in the clinic recently through the contractor who holds the contract for healthcare providers. The pay offered without option of negotiation was terrible and well below industry standards for the area. The time-off was even worse and they want Saturday coverage once a month with no extra compensation. You get what you pay for in healthcare and the DHC is paying for bottom of the bucket healthcare providers. I feel sorry for the DOD patients who receive their care there.

I am not a fan of leaving such poor reviews but the operators for this facility are the rudest I have ever met. Over talked, interrupted, said I don t need to hear all of that and then HUNG UP ON ME.I m not sure if it s because the lines are not recorded, but that kind of customer service is abhorrent.

Post hip surgery and I was experiencing a lot of drainage bleeding. On a Saturday no place to go but I was fortunate to be seen at 1pm just before closing. Great evaluation and bedside manner to reassure me there was no infection. Made sure my meds were current and worked with my on call ortho surgeon. Very caring! I wish they had longer hours.
