About Foothill Treatment Center

Foothill Treatment Center is located in Spanish Fork, Utah. This is a drug rehab facility that serves men and women who need support for an addiction to drugs, alcohol, and opioids. They offer residential treatment and detox services here. You’ll also be supported through medication-assisted treatment (MAT). The residential program is co-ed and provides evidence-based support. They accept policies for most major insurance providers. Speak with your provider because out-of-network benefits may apply.

Before you seek care here, you’ll need to complete intake at the Health and Justice Building. After the intake process, you’ll meet with the treatment team and an individualized recovery plan will be created for you. There is a detox program here that is overseen by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.

You’ll work with the case manager, therapist, and medical staff. Detox happens in a safe and supportive environment and withdrawal symptoms are appropriately managed so that you can begin the path to recovery.

In the residential treatment program, you’ll be supported through their MAT program. This is a proven treatment to help manage withdrawals and ongoing cravings associated with your recovery. Using FDA-approved medications like methadone and Suboxone, you can help minimize the risk of relapse.

There are also gender-specific treatment programs and group therapy sessions available here as well. Through group therapy, you’ll work through recovery with the support of similar-suited peers and mentors. You’ll gain essential insight that can help you reach sustainable sobriety.

The thing you have to remember, is that this is a rehab! So all the reviews saying that they are terrible, you may want to take with a grain of salt!I had a great experience with Foothill. Ricky really changed that place for the best, and he worked his butt off with not only the staff, but the clients too, to try to figure out a Happ medium! You can't have everything you want when you're coming off drugs and alcohol! It's a facility that has guidelines and rules! Believe me, I tested and pushed both, and at times told some members of the staff things I shouldn't have said!!! Ricky could have kicked me out a couple times, but worked his tail off with me, and the staff to get me through! I completed the 90 day program a little bit early, cause I started doing the work, and going the extra miles it took. I still struggle now and again but I'll always look here first! Thanks to all of you at foothill that was there th times I've came through! You guys are awesome!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could! Very rude staff and the mistreatment of residents is ridiculous. Staff has taken away rights and privileges for residents with no misconduct, underlying threats to residents if there is a problem and much much more. I have reported them to the state for the conditions of the building and treatment of a loved one in their care. The place should be condemned. If you have a loved one who is in need of treatment, look at every other option and only use this place as a last resort.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients receiving services in a rehab aftercare program have generally been stable and sober for a period of weeks and months and no longer require high intensity treatment. Many have stepped down from inpatient rehab to outpatient treatment. Others have been discharged from formal treatment but need support in maintaining their sobriety. Clients typically work with their case manager and care team to develop a long-term care plan that aligns with their unique needs and goals.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step programs engage in rigorous group counseling, peer coaching, and personal development. Though 12 step recovery is rooted in spiritual principles, religious affiliation is not mandatory. The steps model promotes participants' emotional and psychological healing, which is presumed integral to sustained sobriety. Regular attendance at group meetings is expected. These meetings are free, anonymous, peer-led, and accessible day and night in most communities. Gender and age-specific programs and other specialized formats are common.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
If your friend or family member is suffering physically or psychologically from substance use but denies there is a problem, it might be time for a drug intervention in Utah. This process involves meeting with an intervention specialist from a facility's intervention services program. This specialist will interview family members to gain an understanding of the situation, then facilitate the intervention. Their expertise can prove invaluable in navigating this complex confrontation.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
In order to ensure your safety during the withdrawal process, rehabs offer 24-hour clinical care in Utah. You have access to experienced medical staff around the clock, and they can adminsiter treatments or perform clincial interventions that lessen withdrawal symptoms and make you more comfortable. Teatments can include medications, nutritional supplements, and mental health counseling.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Medical detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from your body under the care of medical professionals. In an inpatient environment, you'll be monitored 24/7 by doctors, nurses, and clinical experts, who will help keep you as safe and comfortable as possible and administer medication if needed to treat any withdrawal symptoms. The process may take up to a week or longer depending on your needs, and is often at least partially covered by insurance.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Therapists may use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Utah to address substance use and mental health disorders. The main focus is to change thinking patterns, which leads to behavioral change. Subtypes of CBT include exposure therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and acceptance commitment therapy.

During dialectical behavior therapy in Utah, you'll work on developing four main skills. Interpersonal effectiveness helps you manage your relationships. Mindfulness keeps you present in the current moment rather than worry or regret. Distress tolerance helps you accept emotions. Emotional regulation gives you the tools you need to successfully manage intense emotions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The foundation of motivational interviewing in Utah rests on four pillars: partnership, evocation, acceptance, and compassion. The therapist collaborates with the client, encouraging them to explore their options and make informed decisions about making changes in their lives.

Trauma therapy addresses the psychological impact of traumatic events. Together with a therapist, you identify the impact that trauma has had on your life and the factors that trigger emotional and physical responses. You develop better coping mechanisms to rebuild a sense of safety and trust in your life.

Couples at any stage of their relationship may benefit from couples therapy in Utah. It is designed to keep relationships on the right path by teaching both partners healthy forms of communication and conflict resolution.

Family therapists work with all members of the family unit to understand the impact that addiction has had on the family collectively and individually. Together they develop strategies to help their loved one recover. The therapist facilitates open discussions between family members to help build resilience and improve interactions. Ultimately, this supports their loved one's path to sobriety.

Took my son there two weeks ago Friday. He was was at the bottom of the barrel and ready to get some help with his addiction after attempting suicide and was miraculously stopped. I knew he needed intervention immediately and took him there. When someone came to the door and I explained that he needed help with his addiction and was suicidal and needed to detox the man said, "oh we can't take him we aren't equipped to take him. That's a medical problem." WHAAAAAAT!!!!! does that mean? What am I supposed to do for him then, sir? Will Wasatch Mental Health take him, I asked? "Oh yeah, take him there," he said. I was scared and didn't know where to turn and unfortunately got turned away from the very place that purports to reach out to all addicts and offer solutions to help. At least I now know where NOT to go for help.Just to let you know, Wasatch Mental Health wouldn't take him either.

Seems like a pretty horrible place to send your family. Even if it s court ordered. They have no control over the residences and their stay. They ask Family to pick up the tab on taking them to appointments and don t even try to talk with the family about what s going on. When talking with staff they are often rude.

This is a great place for being funded by the county. I would recommend this place to anyone struggling with addiction. It's hard at first to accept getting sober but if you truly embrace their message you can succeed here despite what others have said. They have a 5 star staff that can give you several tools to get better. I have a strong personal gratitude for this place.
