Last month I had to wait 20 minutes because the patient before me was an infant and crying. I waited. I was NOT upset, I understood. During that appointment something was done, reset, I don t know but from that time the hearing aids have not been able to connect via Bluetooth to various devices that it was connected prior to the appointment; it also hasn t been able to connect to an app that controls various settings. The default volume was also increased and gives me headaches. Today all of that was to be addressed but I was 20 minutes late and they cancelled my appointment. The option to wait and try to get worked into the schedule was not offered. It s ok for the patient to have to wait but not them! How inconsiderate when I had no control over the traffic. It sucks to have no options based on insurance coverage because I definitely would not recommend this place. And does anyone really read these reviews probably not because they too have no choice of where to go because insurance only pays at certain places. Such a racket.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Ohio may occur in individual, group, or family sessions. It involves focusing on specific thought and behavior problems. Participants learn coping techniques and are asked to practice them as homework between sessions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nutrition therapy helps with detox and drug rehab treatment in Ohio. This treatment gives you the skills you need to develop healthy eating habits, which help you recover more quickly and maintain long term sobriety.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Recently I had trays done at flower hospital on October 11th and as of today October 24th they still haven't sent the results to my doctor. After numerous calls to your radiology file department I still haven't received a call back. I'm very frustrated with your hospital and my messages weren't very nice. Your file clerk needs to be fired. Sincerely one pissed off patient

My father recently passed away after a two week stay in the ICU at flower. Initially we were told we should take him off of life support. After a week they were able to take him off the ventilator. He was slowly improving and doing okay. They were talking about him progressing into a nursing home. Then I called one morning, after just seeing him late the night before and was told he was doing very bad and halucinating. This person who I assumed was some kind of a doctor told me she had given him tramadol, she then proceeded to tell me it's just like Tylenol. I'm not stupid, tramadol is an opioid, why lie to me! Tramadol causes halucinations! I later saw my dad after work and he was doing so bad compared to the night before. He was barely there anymore! The woman that I had spoken to earlier that day was there. She was an RN, and she was not nice at all. I do recall her name but I won't post it here. I really did not like her attitude at all, every other nurse my dad had up to that point had been great. My dad also had her the next day, and she was not nice to him at all, and I could tell he did not care for her either. We were told by the doctor that said that with what was going on with my father we should make the decision to let him go peacefully that he had aspirated. This is the first time this was mentioned in the 2 weeks he had been there. I did witness two nurses put my dad's feeding tube in his lung and I'm almost positive they administered medications or some kind of liquid into that tube before they realized it was in his lung not his stomach. He was doing okay before this, not great, but not terrible. We had been told his lungs were draining and improving from the fluid from the pnumonia and the trauma of the CPR he recieved twice. BUt then we were suddenly told that his right lung would not stop filling up. Was his condition made worse from the feeding tube being inserted in his lung? His already ailing lung. Was this why he aspirated, as the doctor admited to us when he said he would not make it without a lot of intervention and not have a good quality of life. I get it, my father did have many health issues. He certainly was not a well person. However he was on a better path and then he was compromised by a feeding tube being placed incorrectly, which I know is a risk that needed to be taken, but if this made his condition worsen, then TELL US THAT! Then the lying mean nurse that says tramadol is Tylenol!!! come on lady! I want answers! I reiterate, the majority of the nurses on floor 4 are amazing wonderful caring people. The nurses that placed my dad's tube in wrong were also very sweet and kind and mistakes happen. But I want to know if this is why he suddenly was declining instead of improving.

My husband is in icu at Flower Hospital. I am overwhelmed by the care given by all the nurse's, doctors and specialists. Especially the nurse's whom are taking care of him around the clock. He is not conscious and they talk to him explaining what they are doing. They are actually caring about him as a human. Thank you

I will never take a family member to this hospital again . my daughter went in there for an unexpected life-threatening illness . And the nurse was so terrible to her . most of them were very nice . but one in particular was very mean my daughter . My daughter just wanted to go home . Even though that was not possible at that time . She was in so much pain and was so uncomfortable . she was suffering and that nurse kept telling her you're not going home for a long time . And it made her cry more and made her feel worse . The nurse knew my daughtet might not survive till morning . The nurse could at least try to make her feel better by saying .... oh it won't be long you'll be home soon . And try to comfort her . But no. It seemed like the nurse was mad because she had to do her job . If she doesn't want to be respectful and do her job , she should NOT Be a nurse . And to make things even worse . The next day when I called to find out if my daughter's body had been sent to the coroner's office yet . They said they had no idea ! They did not know where her body was because they had no record or her being there . I told them i was there with her when she passed away , so I KNOWshe was here . After I gave them her name again and her ss number . They finely said .. ok we found her . Oh ....sorry about your loss . Your daughter is at the coroner's office . Sorry about the mix up .... I will NEVER take myself or a loved one there again. .. update . Flower hospital replied with . ... sorry about the.trouble . Give us a call so we can make it wright .....you can't bring my daughter back and apologize to her ! So SCREW YOU .. there is NOTHING you could possibly do to make it wright . I will tell everyone I possibly can what happened . And what a screwed up hospital you are . Just read the reviews . They say it all .
