Sunrise Orlando is a good place, Haley is a total sweetheart counselor who genuinely cares, and when I was going through it and needed her she never made me feel like I was bothering her. All counselors are super cool. Corey is inspiring. The techs are all amazing people too, I could be feeling horrible and Will can always cheer me up with his great sense of humor and you can tell he genuinely cares and he likes his job. All the nurses are super cool and drop dead gorgeous, no nurse ratchets to have to deal with like at state run hospitals. They understand the disease of addiction, and they work in the field because they care and they really do their best to help you feel better. Dale is super cool, absolute gentleman and just a good dude. Idk why people lie on reviews and say that they can t get ahold of anyone after they leave. I have called down twice since coming home last week and got right through and was able to let the nurses know I was doing good, staying sober, and grateful for the help. Now some of the food isn t great, but I have to be honest I m bougie, and more snacks and choices of snacks would be good, those detox meds can give you the munchies! The chicken noodle soup and vegetable soup or some of the best soups I ve ever had after my daughters soups of corse. The nurse practitioner Leo is super cool, super knowledgeable, and really cares, I was SO NERVOUS about starting my sub maintenance again because I always get thrown into precipitated withdrawals even for five days out!He was the 1st person to ever explain to me that people who are snorting stuff sometimes have it hang out in the system longer because stuff can get caught in the mucous membranes. Where with IV users it runs through the system quicker. Which totally made sense and he was able to provide me with a saline rinse 3x a day to help clean the devils dust out of my nose. The place is beautiful and clean, I would tell the cleaning ladies every day yo te caro mucho (probably spelled that wrong) everyday and tell them that their job is just as important as everyone else s and how nice it was to be in such a clean and nice place. TV s in the rooms are a God send! There s nothing worse then detox s who turn PBS off (which is all they have) at 10pm because there s nothing worse then not being able to sleep through withdrawals and not having access to TV or music to help distract you from being in your head all night which just causes me to think about wanting to get high. There are GOOD PEOPLE AT THIS DETOX WHO ACTUALLY ENJOY THEIR JOBS AND WANT TO HELP PEOPLE! My wife is a therapist and works in the field with her private practice and since we found Sunrise she has been consistently referring people down there. It honestly is a staff of beautiful Angels who are there to help you while your there, and help you get set up with what you ll need once you leave. I m not a big 12 step guy, but I heard a tech say if you can make a meeting in your 1st 24 hours of getting out your chances of staying sober and getting it, go up 100% . So I hit an NA meeting, raised my hand and asked for help and a sponsor and I met some of the coolest people and I ve made a meeting every day since I left. In my opinion EVERYONE there deserves a raise because they are such kind, caring and helpful people. The only person I didn t particularly understand was the other Dr or nurse practitioner Sheeneka. I have been on/off sub maintenance since it 1st came out I m the orange octagon pill form 25 or so years ago! I was approved for maintenance. But on the morning I was released Shanika would not give me a morning dose. Causing me to go into full bloom withdrawal again until my wife got there at 11:30 with one of my prescribed subs. Boy was she pissed she said you look like your it worse withdrwl now did you did when you first came in after two days clean. It scared her big time. Shanika wouldn t even give me an explanation or even check on me she put my sobriety and life at risk, along with the life of my children s father and wife s husband! I ll never understand why?

Aspire is a great program and the staff here are good. but the location is terrible. Or atleast the people who come here are. There's also so many people who come here that the nurses, Dr, case managers, etc cannot keep up. It causes so many people to have to figure it out on their own. You will be offered to buy drgs* in the parking lot.Pros- Staff(majority), the program itself.Cons- location, the homeless and dealers, over crowded, Nurse manager is on a power trip and is terrible to employees and patients. If you have the means to, go to the Fernwood location. It is 300% better in everyway.

I loved this place. The only issue I had there was aftercare. But it wasn't entirely their fault. I didn't have insurance and there wasn't enough time for them to do much when it came to that. But if not for the way things unfolded I wouldn't be where I am today with more than a year clean and doing so well. The only thing I wish is that it was a longer program with more aftercare. Other than that this place was great, great staff above all else. And man the food was amazing. The two woman chefs are absolutely incredible!

To be honest I've been here a couple times. I used to tell everybody how this place was terrible but this place helped me realize that I just wasn't really ready to.accept the help. They were very supportive.Ms. Jennifer my assigned therapist is a good listener she gave me coping mechanisms to help distract myself from anxiety and trauma. We got to go to the gym and outside to get some energy out. We went to the zen garden . They allow us to pace the halls when we get anxious. We listened to music. They have organized group therapies that teach different things like how to properly manage your emotions and impulses. The groups give you a chance to share things you feel comfortable sharing to get other people's perspective of how they would handle it. I like the fact that the don't pressure you to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. The have different activities in the day room like coloring word searches books and card games. You can talk amongst your peers. The things I personally didn't like was the fact that there were other kids who weren't always mindful and were very loud. I struggle with self harm and when I would do it they would offer medication. But if it gets to a point where you are not compliant or are anxious and unable to calm down they'll give you a shot. It'll hurt but it helps keeps you safe and everyone around . They also have seclusion and restrains hands on but that's usually for the violent ones. So my advice is go in there even when you don't want to do what you can to get to a point where your not a danger to yourself or otheres and the doctors and therapists will come up with a discharge plan depending on the situation you could benefit from med or therapy. And for Minors before you get any medications the nurses have to contact a legal garudian for consent. So your safe from allergic reactions. And the staff are safe from legal problems.
