I cannot express enough gratitude for the care and compassion shown by the staff at the Center for Discovery in Maitland, Florida. From the very beginning, they treated my daughter as if she were their own, walking alongside her through every stage of her recovery journey. Tristin and Kathleen, in particular, went above and beyond, providing not just expert care but genuine empathy, making my daughter feel understood and supported in every step. The admissions department also deserves special recognition for their dedication in ensuring my daughter received the help she desperately needed. Their commitment didn t stop at intake they continue to check on her progress, even after treatment, showing that their care extends far beyond the walls of the facility. As an overly involved parent, I needed constant communication, and the team was always on top of it. Whether it was updates, reassurance, or addressing concerns, I always felt informed and involved in my daughter's recovery. Like any treatment facility, they aren t perfect, but the heart and commitment they have toward their clients and their families is unmatched. I knew then and I still know now that my daughter was, and is, in the hands of truly amazing individuals. If she ever needs help again, I have full confidence that she ll receive the same exceptional level of care.Thank you, Center for Discovery, for going above and beyond for my daughter and for our family.

I loved this place. The only issue I had there was aftercare. But it wasn't entirely their fault. I didn't have insurance and there wasn't enough time for them to do much when it came to that. But if not for the way things unfolded I wouldn't be where I am today with more than a year clean and doing so well. The only thing I wish is that it was a longer program with more aftercare. Other than that this place was great, great staff above all else. And man the food was amazing. The two woman chefs are absolutely incredible!

I was a student at TC Orlando for 1 year and5 days. During one of my first weeks in the program a lady at the car wash was kind enough to ask how we were doing that day and encouraged us by saying "remember there's no perfect program" and she was right. There's plusses and minuses to every aspect in life.I am not here to discuss what I thought was wrong with or right about TCO. I will say that many of the negative things I read in other Google reviews have been rectified and are no longer relevant. My aim in writing this review is that you will enter TCO eyes wide open and not be upset or surprised at what you do/don't find and will encounter God, graduate and maintain sobriety afterwards.Let me tell you what Teen Challenge Orlando has to offerProfessional Services-If you require doctors visits or dental work, TCO offers transportation to and from appointments.Mentors provide regular opportunities forstudents to open up and talk about personalstruggles.AmenitiesKitchen/Cafeteria- Top of the line as far as rehabs go.All the coffee you can drink during breakfast but don't over do it.Meals are protein heavy, diverse and have a good amount of vegetables, essential for the brain's recovery on a chemical level.Stear clear of the sodas and limit your dessert intake or you'll get what's known as the TC 30 in your first 30 days. If not more...Dorms- Always cold but just in the way that you want.Mattresses- Par for the course. However, bring a $10 foam topper and you'll sleep like a baby, guaranteed.Closets- Each student gets half plus ample shelving space. There is a shed outback for shoes so the rooms don't stink and floors stay clean, 5pair limit.Bathrooms- They are super clean and you'll never run out of hot water; plenty of sinks and showers. Usually no wait time for your morning shave. Remeber to be a gentleman and clean up after yourself. Your Mrs. or future Mrs. will appreciate this later.Laundry- They will have a couple of designated students assigned to laundry duty and your clothes will be washed and folded on a weekly basis.Gym- Outdoor, covered weight area with elliptical, free weights, multi-use lift machine, mat for stretching and a HUGE tire to flip around campus and compete with others for bragging rights!A half court for basketball and sandpit volleyball area.Sorry, no in-ground pool. This is rehab, nota resort.Need something?TCO has a massive thrift store. If you're lacking anything outside toiletries and socks/underwear all you have to do is fill out a slip and an intern or mentor will have you hooked up and "drippin" in a day or so.Library- Several hundred books ranging from addiction recovery strories to deep subjects of the Bible and personal growth. I read over 60 books during my time spent at TCO. The best part was a series of biographies about Christian heros of the faith. I read all of them. My one take away was this- Not a single one lived a boring, unfulfilled life once they fully surrendered It over to God and chose to walk in faith and obedience. The same can and WILL happen for you if you make that choice.Work DetailMonday 12-5, Tue, Thur, Fri, 9-5; Wed 9-4:30, Sat. 8-5Usually done a little early to make it back for dinner."What?! This sounds like a labor camp, not a rehab!!!"Well all your needs are provided for and "regular" people work 40 hrs a week. Think of it as a 12 months of retraining for when you get back out into the real world. You get to build up your work ethic without the pitfalls of spending a paycheck on drugs or alcohol.Furthermore Teen Challenge has over 1400 locations in 125 countries. Not all are financially self supporting. So the efforts put in here ensures that others receive help elsewhere. Sunrise Orlando is a good place, Haley is a total sweetheart counselor who genuinely cares, and when I was going through it and needed her she never made me feel like I was bothering her. All counselors are super cool. Corey is inspiring. The techs are all amazing people too, I could be feeling horrible and Will can always cheer me up with his great sense of humor and you can tell he genuinely cares and he likes his job. All the nurses are super cool and drop dead gorgeous, no nurse ratchets to have to deal with like at state run hospitals. They understand the disease of addiction, and they work in the field because they care and they really do their best to help you feel better. Dale is super cool, absolute gentleman and just a good dude. Idk why people lie on reviews and say that they can t get ahold of anyone after they leave. I have called down twice since coming home last week and got right through and was able to let the nurses know I was doing good, staying sober, and grateful for the help. Now some of the food isn t great, but I have to be honest I m bougie, and more snacks and choices of snacks would be good, those detox meds can give you the munchies! The chicken noodle soup and vegetable soup or some of the best soups I ve ever had after my daughters soups of corse. The nurse practitioner Leo is super cool, super knowledgeable, and really cares, I was SO NERVOUS about starting my sub maintenance again because I always get thrown into precipitated withdrawals even for five days out!He was the 1st person to ever explain to me that people who are snorting stuff sometimes have it hang out in the system longer because stuff can get caught in the mucous membranes. Where with IV users it runs through the system quicker. Which totally made sense and he was able to provide me with a saline rinse 3x a day to help clean the devils dust out of my nose. The place is beautiful and clean, I would tell the cleaning ladies every day yo te caro mucho (probably spelled that wrong) everyday and tell them that their job is just as important as everyone else s and how nice it was to be in such a clean and nice place. TV s in the rooms are a God send! There s nothing worse then detox s who turn PBS off (which is all they have) at 10pm because there s nothing worse then not being able to sleep through withdrawals and not having access to TV or music to help distract you from being in your head all night which just causes me to think about wanting to get high. There are GOOD PEOPLE AT THIS DETOX WHO ACTUALLY ENJOY THEIR JOBS AND WANT TO HELP PEOPLE! My wife is a therapist and works in the field with her private practice and since we found Sunrise she has been consistently referring people down there. It honestly is a staff of beautiful Angels who are there to help you while your there, and help you get set up with what you ll need once you leave. I m not a big 12 step guy, but I heard a tech say if you can make a meeting in your 1st 24 hours of getting out your chances of staying sober and getting it, go up 100% . So I hit an NA meeting, raised my hand and asked for help and a sponsor and I met some of the coolest people and I ve made a meeting every day since I left. In my opinion EVERYONE there deserves a raise because they are such kind, caring and helpful people. The only person I didn t particularly understand was the other Dr or nurse practitioner Sheeneka. I have been on/off sub maintenance since it 1st came out I m the orange octagon pill form 25 or so years ago! I was approved for maintenance. But on the morning I was released Shanika would not give me a morning dose. Causing me to go into full bloom withdrawal again until my wife got there at 11:30 with one of my prescribed subs. Boy was she pissed she said you look like your it worse withdrwl now did you did when you first came in after two days clean. It scared her big time. Shanika wouldn t even give me an explanation or even check on me she put my sobriety and life at risk, along with the life of my children s father and wife s husband! I ll never understand why?

Aspire is a great program and the staff here are good. but the location is terrible. Or atleast the people who come here are. There's also so many people who come here that the nurses, Dr, case managers, etc cannot keep up. It causes so many people to have to figure it out on their own. You will be offered to buy drgs* in the parking lot.Pros- Staff(majority), the program itself.Cons- location, the homeless and dealers, over crowded, Nurse manager is on a power trip and is terrible to employees and patients. If you have the means to, go to the Fernwood location. It is 300% better in everyway.

It was in this rehabilitation center that I received freedom and healing thanks to the wonderful staff and personnel of HOF, today I can say with pride that I have been clean for 13 years and free of everything that tied me down, I recommend it to anyone who wants a true change in their life. TO GOD be the GLORY!!!

I'm a therapist in the Tampa area and recently sent a client of mine to La Amistad for stabilization. The therapist named Mark was a name that stood out specifically upon his return. Mark, I'd like to thank you personally for all the work you dedicated to this young man. He's on a positive trajectory for the first time and I couldn't be prouder of his improvement. Thank you again Mr. Mark!!

Group sessions are very helpful and I have learned several new techniques. The one-on-one sessions have not been as useful as I don't have things I really need to work on outside of group. Overall, I have had a very positive experience and really like the flexibility.
