Honestly I don t really do these reviews but after the way I was treated I think it s necessary. The Amherst location has no secretary only on certain days if your lucky. No one returns med line voicemails which means if you are having a problem with meds or need a refill you will be waiting days until you actually talk to someone. You can call both facilities 20 times before anyone finally answers. I have called four days in a row at some points. I have also let them know about this issue more then once with no changes.Because of the lack of communication there was a huge issue resulting in me going 24 hours without my meds for not the first time but second. I was lied to multiple times bully Abbi who s supposedly a secretary. When I confronted her about her lies she hung up on me because she couldn t defend her story anymore knowing I still needed information from her and it s been 24 hours and no one has contacted me still. Very poor customer service. I have never met my provider in person although I have never had issues with her directly it s sad I have to drive to a facility sit in a room and meet on zoom when I can do that at home considering that s a huge waste of my time while being a busy full time medical mom of twins with 3 older school aged children.I called for days with no answer. Finally I got someone on the phone scheduled my next appointment and requested a refill that was not for a controlled substance. This was at 1130 am. At five pm I got a phone call from Abbi who told me no meds at all would be filled until I took a urine test. I didn t know why because I have never had to do that so I kept asking questions about that and she was very rude saying it s literally in the title it s a DRUG TEST and talked to me like a child. I asked her where I could go at 5 pm since most labs are closed now and she refused to give me any recommendations. Because the office refused to answer my med line voicemails I was out of meds and now had to do a urine test before I could get them filled? Which meant I was going to go without because it was already 5 pm when she decided she would call me right before leaving work. The next morning I got an email saying my prescription was at giant Eagle? Which was odd because I was told they wouldn t be called in until the testing was done. So when I got to the pharmacy that day I asked them when the prescription was called in and they said the dr called it in YESTERDAY AT 4 pm. So I went 24 hours without my meds for no reason.I still proceeded and went to the lab and the lab specifically said we don t do these tests here you need a special lab they should have told you where to go and also it would be difficult because there were no diagnosis codes on the Req far west emailed me so the lab tried calling them at both facilities with no luck. I ended up having to leave the lab after making arrangements for a babysitter and only having a certain amount of hours to have this test done.I finally got ahold of the westlake office and Abbi answered the phone. I told her the issue at the lab she said she was not going to be helping me or talking to the lab and she wasn t the middle man anymore? She couldn t even give me ideas on what specialty lab I should go to. So I decided to confront her about the lies I caught her in on why the meds were called in at 4 the previous day and she told me at almost 5pm they were being refused but then came out the next day and said the dr texted her at 416 telling her the meds were at the pharmacy after telling me she didn t find out until after she left work at 5pm. When I called all this out she started yelling and then hung up on me and I haven t heard a word since. So unfortunately when I was desperate for help I was able to get in fast but I will no longer be associated with a place so unprofessional and unorganized.

This facility is horrible. They cannot keep a psychiatrist on duty. The 1 they have now Stacy, is horrific. She will not prescribe SIMPLE narcotics like zanax, clonapin, Vyvanse, Adderall, or Ritalin because she is not concerned about her patients but more concerned about her license. I say this cuz I came to her already w a script of Vyvanse and clonapin. She refused me the clonapin and continually makes me wait on refills of my Vyvanse even tho I call in in a timely manner for my refills. It's like pulling teeth to get care here. Absolutely absurd!Oh and if your looking for telehealth, hahaha, this is reserved for the providers only. Meaning, you will drive to the office to see the doctor who will see you through a screen. You won't see them in person but dont ask to just do this from home, nope! Not permitted. You, even if u have agoraphobia, like me, is forced from the house to see a screen.THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
