Giving a couple stars cause there are a few legit caring clinicians and staff here... and I understand that this field is often overworked. I get it.But yeah if you want to feel like a number and not a person, get shuffled between 5-7 people who ask you all the same questions ("do you smoke? " "yeah y'all have asked me that every time and the answer is still the same" ) without getting actual help then this is your place. The scheduling is insane... and there's not much correspondence except "mornings or afternoons? " and it seems they think that all patients just have all the time in the world and no jobs, responsibilities, etc. You just get what you get. Won't even get started on how difficult it is to reschedule.A note to add...I understand PRSSs have their role cause they are in recovery... but when a patient is in crisis or starting services (which is already tough) PRSSs need to lay off on making sessions about them. Like patients in need don't need to hear your life story/ trauma dump... it's counterintuitive and uncomfortable...I honestly just felt like an inconvenience my entire time there and barely got services started to get to the root of things. So yeah I jumped ship to try somewhere else. But y'all got your medicaid money I guess <3

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The Doctor I see is great the pharmacy is absolutely horrible. They say they open at 8:30 but they NEVER do. It s always 10-15 minutes later. May not seem like a big deal to the staff but when people plan their schedules such as getting to work or dropping kids off on time it s a lot. To make it worse the staff are extremely rude and you can hear them laughing and joking behind the closed roll up doors. Seriously put the correct time you open. Instead of putting a time up that you NEVER follow.

I did as instructed by the nurse at the medication clinic nurses line. She assured me there would be no problem getting my rx refilled. That was in the 12th. Due today. No Rx, no refill authorization, and no one in ANY department answers their phone. This among other things w/regard to F&CS is causing me anxiety & stress. And that s the Rx I can t seem to get refilled as I have been doing every mo for quite awhile. Pretty frustrated .So I ordered my prescription for refill and bcuz this new psych has re-scheduled 3-4 appointments since June & at this moment I don t really have a psych that can prescribe meds, I m in between psychs atm. I expressed my concerns about some things and I was told I was being referred to a 30 something therapist who is not even licensed yet. I am 61z. I ve been trying to see this Dr since June & every time the appt had to be re-scheduled (by him) it was at least a month later. The last appt I had set was October 10th. Now that he has an opening on September 20th and I m supposed to Be available when HE is available after re-scheduling all those previous appts and then cutting my anxiety meds by 75 pills without even seeing or speaking to me once. That s waaaaay wrong and all it does is CAUSE ME MORE ANXIETY & STRESS & I would love it if y all actually acted as if you care about the patients that depend on you. I ll give credit to the 2 or 3 that I felt really understood and cared about my situations. Those employees are few and hard to get. When I leave a message, and I need help and I hear that they will get back to me within 24 hrs ..that really doesn t help me, now does it??and I need help when I call. That s WHY I call. I don t want to hear voicemail that says they will get back to me in 24 hours, if I needed help & could wait 24 hrs, that would be great. But what happens if I need help right away, too bad, leave a message anyway. To make matters worse, bcuz the Dr FINALLY HAS AN OPENING IN HIS SCHEDULE, and I can see him( all of a sudden he is available 1 day this month. Bcuz I have an upcoming appt, he cut my anxiety meds by 75 pills out of 90 which is the same exact Rx that have been taking all along.I m waiting for a return phone call from my case mgr. I cannot keep this appt bcuz I feel the way this Dr is either TOO busy to take on a new client, or so arrogant as to cut my Rx by 75 pills without seeing me once. I m am almost fed up to the point of leaving F&CS bcuz I m not really seeing where the meds are doing any good, I have been shuffled from pillar to post, and I feel like my case has just been piled on the first person that wasn t all booked up No offense to anybody I am currently receiving treatment from - they seem to genuinely care.

"I had a mostly positive experience here! Joanna at the front desk is absolutely amazing, and Casey (MY)case manager is the bomb. Both of them always made me feel welcome and taken care of. My therapist and psychiatrist are also top-tier professionals who have helped me a lot. However, I did run into an issue when I needed a return-to-work letter. They have a 7-day turnaround time for something that really shouldn't take that long. Worse, the person responsible for handling the documentation process in the med clinic was very rude and showed zero empathy, especially when I mentioned to her that I had already been waiting two weeks for my letter. Her tone and demeanor were completely unprofessional, and I hope they consider putting someone more suited for that role. Thankfully, I spoke with Mr. Ammerson, who listened to my concerns and quickly got everything sorted out. Overall, great staff, but some improvements are definitely needed in the paperwork department."

Went here for therapy and meds as a kid and as an adult I was asked constantly why I haven't taken medication that I haven't taken in almost 15 years. My therapist seemed like she wanted and had better things to do if not just downright uninterested in helping me with my mental health. I also dont know how many times she skipped an appointmentand blamed me for not showing up. My case worker I only met up only 5 times spanning a year. I wish I could add more stars and I fully understand that after the last 4 years everyone's mental health has declined to some extent. However if I'm unable to receive the care on which I know I deserve as a patient then just tell me and I will be on my way. Don't waste my time and yalls. That is completely unnecessary.

I been patient of fcs since between 2006 to 2008 until 2023 at first I struggle badly but got tired of keep changing councler and case management every 6 months to year so far until 2020 it turn more ugliest and not deaf friendly and very audism and treat me badly when they say will help me with my need but barely do anything so far paperwork keep pile up I try very hard to catch up with paperwork and they keep make it worse until October 2023 end up shut me out when I need help

Varies on what is good and not here. Good, they will help you find Medicaid or other pay source to get help. But also, they are too busy for their own good.I have walked in more than once with crisis situations that were relatively easy to handle, and they were not handled in a respectable manner. The scheduling is difficult. I felt like a number and not a person here as a whole. The only reason why I have a second star is because I believed that my psychiatrist (serrano) was amazing and is legit.
