About Fairview Treatment Center

Fairview Treatment Center provides substance abuse and mental health care in Morgan City, Louisiana. They offer detox and inpatient care. The inpatient service provides guests with a secure, structured environment to focus on getting well without outside distractions. Gender specific services are available.

Detox is medically monitored for your safety. You’ll have physicians and nurses available to monitor your progress. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available to lessen withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings. They use FDA approved medicines to make guests more comfortable during treatment. The detox service has a total of 10 beds, with five beds for female guests and five beds for males. Detox typically lasts between three and seven days, depending on the symptoms. During this time, you can meet with counselors to determine your progress and receive education and discharge planning.

The inpatient program typically lasts 30 days, depending on the severity of symptoms. During treatment, you’ll address issues like depression, anger, past traumas and other mood conditions.

Counseling can help you uncover the root causes of your substance use. Their team emphasizes a holistic approach. They have local clergy available providing spiritual guidance and support. They believe that joining spiritual beliefs and faith can assist healing because it ushers in comfort and strength to move forward and maintain a sober lifestyle.

Case management is on site to help guide you through the program and connect you to outside agencies or resources for ongoing recovery assistance. Holistic methods, like art therapy, are included to help with self-expression and communication. Art therapy is a valuable tool to give you additional insight into your progress toward sobriety.

The center uses a whole-person approach to help you overcome addiction and maintain long term sobriety. By combining a 12 Step approach, holistic and traditional methods for recovery, they believe their program can help guests overcome addiction and work through underlying conditions associated with substance use.

Bad management. Makes it hard for Employees and Patients to be comfortable there. They only care about the Census (#of people admitted) and absolutely nothing else. The building is also in shambles and was awarded money to fix it...the money must've went elsewhere because the ceiling on the first floor is about to cave in.

I came here back in 2008. I was at my lowest point in my life. I lost everything that mattered including myself & I was more than ready. I had already been to a few different treatment facilities before this point but i wasn t never ready. I was doing it for the courts or for my concerned family. You have to do it for yourself. I finally hit that rock bottom I kept hearing about. I lost the father of my daughter to an overdose and then custody of my daughter soon after. I was there at the bottom of the dark pit I dug for myself. But there is light and little by little I dug myself out. But with work!! Fairview was my first step and I really loved this place. I had the best counselor(I can t remember her name, maybe Ms. Cheryl?)and group members. I met some really cool people that I still talk to sometimes. This place helped to start my healing journey. I continued with outpatient treatment, got a full time job, my first apartment & I finally got my daughter back. She is now 18 and doing great. I m happily married with a very strong support system. It s possible to change & I highly recommend this place.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

dollar-outline iconFinancing available

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

While each drug rehab in Louisiana offers unique elements, recovery support often follows a similar pattern. Detox is followed by inpatient and/or outpatient care, then aftercare support is provided once the participant completes the initial program.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The worst part about this place it's the food. Besides that, it has extremely cold installations and uncomfortable beds. They don't let you do anything because apparently everything is 'a trigger.' Honestly, and for your own good, go somewhere else.

I just tried to make a phone call to help a family member out. They transfer me to Mrs. Kristle Landry and I was on hold for a couple of minutes and then all of a sudden she press the wrong button and for the last 5 minutes I can listen to her personal conversation with a friend. Very unprofessional. the reviews must be correct. It is sad people are looking for help and this is what you get.

Well i checked myself into this place 1/31/18 and checked myself out this afternoon at 12. Im so relived that i am home cause my experience with this place was awful. Food was so gross that i would not feed it to my dog. I slept alot cause of all the valuim they dosed me with the first night. When your in the detox faze you are not allowed to leave your room. So i felt isolated and alone.... No one on one counseling at all. Cant use the phone for 5 days while your in detox. Some of the staff was amazing the other really could care less how you felt. So cold and beds were so uncomfortable. It straight felt just like jail. So i talked to my consuler Jason which he was pretty amazing to me. But he tried to talk me out of signing myself out but i had my mind set that i wanted to go home. They wont let you have any chocolate or caffine for 5 days cause they say its a ( trigger) personally that whole place is a trigger. Oh also they wont let you even sing cause its a ( trigger) well they triggered my ass right out the doors. Sorry for the bad but not sorry cause the people of the public really need to know that this place needs to be shut dowm and remodeled. They straight treat ppl like we are caged animals. Some ppl may love but fairveiw just wasnt for me. But hey at least i triedUnhappy addict,Dawn Menard

My only real complaint is the food. They only get a dollar to feed the residents and the quality shows it. Just like jail it's all Turkey, the only alternative is vending machines. I asked the staff if they would eat it. They bring their own food. They need to figure out something because the food alone would make you want to leave. You'll stay sober just to never want to go back. It's also cold uncomfortable and feels like jail most of the time. Oh and no individual therapy. You're mainly there to fill a bed. They don't care and it shows. Oh and look in the ceiling if you don't want to stay sober.

A family member went here and it was wonderful. The staff was great. It helped 2 of my family members learn how to live sober . On their way to recovery! Thank you Lord!

If you have the option to go somewhere else (if you have insurance or Medicaid) then go somewhere else. This place is awful. Extremely cold, uncomfortable beds, if it is raining, you can't smoke, no private therapy sessions and if you ask for one they find a reason to say no, no psychiatrist on site nor does one come to visit, they don't even give you benadryl to help for sleep cause you will not be able to, the food is awful and the list goes on and on. Only come here if you have no money, insurance or Medicaid. And even then u have to pay 60$ and the place is not worth 60$.
