I echo several of the reviews already posted here. The administration of this clinic, both operational and clinical falls well below the standard. They engage in highly deceptive billing processes and behaviors and hide behind bureaucratic walls to defend their behavior. When questioned, they never get to the heart of the issue presented and instead state the obvious without addressing the issue. Repeated follow ups are the only way to reach administration and when you do, you are passed around for several months. As a result, I have transferred my business elsewhere along with moving my family members out of the M Health system.

Just went in for labs, after waiting for 20 minutes, I was brought back to tell me they do not have the proper supplies to do the blood draw I needed. Very disappointing.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Disponibility is always a problem. Doctors are never available and no just that, administration staff are very rude and don't care about your mental status.

I have been coming to this clinic since it opened & I have become absolutely disgusted with the level of service here. I was just told that because I don't have diabetes that I can't see a podiatrist! What a load of horse manure! Fairviews' level of service has continuously gone downhill for the last several years. Its a shame they have a monopoly on health care around here. I'm about ready to move just because of the low level of care around here.

I m mildly shocked by all the bad reviews I m new to this clinic.I found my hand PT Sophia to be the expert I needed. There is a fine balance between kindness, knowledge and efficiency that makes Professionalism, and she has it. In one appt I had exercises on PTX and custom-made splints. One problem went beyond her role as PT. She referred me to Dr. Yeo for further assessment.I got an appt the next morning with Dr. Yeo and my first cortizone shot, which was unexpected. He was also excellent- energetic, personable, observant, efficient, authentic. I felt comfortable and heard, which I can t say for a lot of doctors. And he met my curiosity by pointing out structures through the seeming static of an ultrasound image. Love it.The front desk women and Allison were professional and warm and I didn t have a problem scheduling a follow up appointment and an MRI. In fact, Radiology called ME to schedule. My busy mind really appreciates the proactive initiative and interdepartmental communication flow. For the first time after many years of pain, I feel I m getting the appropriate treatment for my damaged, painful hand. I am hopeful instead of resolute.I know the future process steps of care which reduces anxiety. My only complaint was the pain of the cortizone shot, but hey, what can you do? My experience at this clinic has been outstanding. I ve worked in healthcare and I have seen patients treated awfully and without empathy. When things go well, human nature dictates that it goes unnoticed because it unconsciously meets our expectations for care. In other words, when everything goes the way we think it should, we don t even notice. That s when you know your care is really good!!Smooth!Uneventful!I m counting my blessings.Thank you all

I've been going here for over 20 years because I like the providers and staff. However, the actual administration of M Health Fairview has really gone downhill with greed. At my last annual physical, my provider was in with me for 5-10 minutes. She ordered the standard labs. Because I've had a thyroid condition for 30 years, she also ordered a thyroid lab so she could renew my prescription. I understand that lab doesn't fall under my routine physical so I've always paid out of pocket for it. However, apparently now under new policy, M Health Fairview charged me for an additional 15-minute appointment (as well as the lab of course), even though they also charged my insurance for a 30-minute physical and my provider was with me for under 10 minutes. They justified it because my provider had to order the lab, which took maybe three seconds, I understand it's another minute to review the lab and send the prescription. Still, we didn't discuss my thyroid nor did she examine it because it's been routine for so long. This is nothing but greed. Of course this extra "appointment" was completely out of my pocket as I haven't met my deductible. I know I will now avoid getting care there due to the cost. My need for an annual thyroid prescription will probably be handled by a non-Fairview telehealth provider that's never met me because it will be so much cheaper. Charging for 45 minutes worth of appointments for 10 minutes of actual time shows absolute disregard for actual patient care. I think that when these administrators want to charge us for 45 minutes, we should be able to keep our providers for 45 minutes asking questions. Instead it seems they are scheduled with new patients every 15 minutes no matter what. I don't understand how this is ethical.

Standard doctors visit, nothing crazy. I didnt mind waiting in the room for 30 minutes by myself for the doctor to come in and be seen for maybe 5-10 minutes. However, charging my insurance company for 45+ minutes when was actually seen for less than 10 minutes, doesn't seem ethical.

Beware of Dr. weitz. He doesn t pay attention to dosages he gives patients and doesn t care that they throw up 25+ times within 48 hours. The clinic manager also doesn t call you back and doesn t take it seriously when their doctors severely harm their patients. Honestly I d just stay far away from this clinic and especially Dr. Weitz.

Extremely frustrated! I have been going to this clinic for years and have been suffering from migraines for years. My prior primary did not help. Tried different medications and multiple visits later still having this issue. She retired and I now have a new primary and still the same issue. I have tried multiple different medications and would like to try a new medication, that I recommended, upon reading the description I feel it fits the issues I'm having. After being told that I haven't "tried" enough medication, after being prescribed handful?!?... All you guys want is money... I am not going to keep coming in for appointments because your prescribing me medications that don't work, or lower the effectiveness of my birth control, which I said, "I didnt want to take any that would disrupt my birth control" but yet continually prescribed one that does!?.. I am so thankful I asked the pharmacy. Seems like the doctor doesnt know what medication to put me on, but I should come in for an appointment when you dont even know or read my history. Nope... Not happening!!! We know what the issue is and it seems like it can be fixed without having to make me come it multiple times. Please help your patient Update: Did virtual visit as my provider suggested and was charged for 25 mins when the call was 15 mins and the provider was late which I understand happens but don't charge me when your late. Also the visit was over $400 for a virtual phone call. This was more than I was charged for a specialist visit. Makes no sense! My provider was aware of my concerns about high billing and did nothing to worn or help me. They are doing nothing to help their customers!
