About Evoke Wellness – Waltham

Evoke Wellness is a behavioral health care and alcohol and substance abuse treatment facility located outside of Boston in Waltham, Massachusetts. Their highly qualified, compassionate mental health professionals and addiction specialists provide personalized outpatient care for men and women.

After a comprehensive assessment, their healthcare team works with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan focusing on their unique needs. The goal of treatment programs at Evoke Wellness is to help clients find healing and stability in the mind, body and spirit. They offer various levels of services depending on the severity of symptoms and diagnosis. Programs range from outpatient services such as intensive outpatient programs (IOP) to outpatient counseling services. They also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) plans and have sober living options. Evoke likewise offers specialized programs including gender specific programs, programs for military members, LGBTQ+ friendly services and programs for Union members.

The IOP at Evoke Wellness provides highly structured but flexible programming and offers both day and night sessions. Individuals receive skill building instruction, community and peer support and relapse prevention planning through individual and group therapy sessions, case management support and medication management as indicated.

A MAT program is offered at Evoke and may play a critical part in the recovery journey for individuals with certain substance use or mental health disorders. MAT programs use FDA-approved medications to aid individuals in the withdrawal process by decreasing symptoms and stabilizing physical and mental health. This may be a short term intervention or can be something that is needed for long term recovery support. For people with certain mental health conditions, the use of certain FDA approved medications helps to stabilize their mental health and create a future where the symptoms of the condition are managed and treated.

Aftercare planning may include continued individual or group therapy or continued medication assisted treatment. Some clients may transition to a sober living program. The sober living program through Evoke supports individuals who require continued care and relapse prevention. It provides an environment where the benefits include a greater ability to remain sober, higher odds of finding employment and staying employed and improved recovery from other mental health issues that they may be experiencing.

Many former clients report that the supportive and caring staff made their time in treatment a positive life changing experience. Evoke is accredited by The Joint Commission, is licensed by the State of Massachusetts, Department of Public Health and is certified as a LegitScript treatment facility.

Most commercial insurance plans are accepted. The treatment specialists at Evoke Wellness can assist you with insurance verification. They will help you to understand your health benefits including any out of pocket expenses you may incur for treatment. If you lack insurance coverage or need assistance paying for treatment then Evoke offers partial scholarship plans and has a sliding scale payment schedule for those who qualify.

I have been to many programs. This program worked for me. I only have 9 months sober but I haven't had a single craving the entire time, this time. I can only attribute that to the work I did on myself at Evoke Waltham for 66 days. I now also enjoy daily AA meetings. My thanks to the staff!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is a safe space for participants to share their stories and experiences within a confidential and judgment free environment. You have the opportunity to openly discuss your difficulties and create a network of community support that can extend long after group therapy sessions end.

Therapists in Massachusetts offer individual therapy in a confidential setting to help you explore the complex factors that have contributed to your drug addiction. Using a tailored approach, your therapist supports you and utilizes evidence based treatment modalities to help you develop healthier thought patterns and behaviors. This builds a foundation for enduring sobriety.

During family therapy, the therapist works with every member of the family unit to understand the role they play in their loved one's addiction. By addressing these patterns, family members learn healthier ways to interact with each other and contribute to a more effective recovery journey for the family member who is addicted.

Trauma therapy addresses the psychological impact of experiencing a traumatic event. You can also experience mental and emotional injury after witnessing a trauma. By identifying what triggers those responses and developing effective coping mechanisms, you can rebuild a sense of safety and trust in your environment.

During cognitive behavioral therapy in Massachusetts, clients work with a trained counselor to identify negative thinking patterns and change them. This change in thinking has been shown to lead to changes in behavior to treat substance use and mental health disorders effectively.

The life skills you'll learn in rehab range from financial management to practicing healthy self care. They help you learn how to solve problems and make decisions, as well as develop healthy interpersonal relationships – all of which are key to successful recovery.

If you are experiencing intense, negative emotions, dialectical behavior therapy can help you learn how to regulate painful emotions and manage the interpersonal situations that generate them. This method is often used during substance use treatment in Massachusetts to help you develop better coping skills and avoid relapse.

Four principles are key to motivational interviewing in Massachusetts. First, the therapist offers empathy for the client's feelings and experiences. Second, they encourage the client to believe in themselves and their ability to change. Third, the therapist refrains from imposing their own viewpoints. Lastly, the therapist helps the client identify discrepancies in their circumstances and future goals.

Evoke Waltham is one of the best rehab IOP programs I have ever been to. Ive been to many of these places on my journey but they have helped me the most. Waltham run by Justin and many other compassionate and caring individuals: helped me to see where I was causing problems and gave me a beautiful and serene place to evoke a transformation that gave me over 1 year of sobriety I have today. Thanks to them and their sister residential program in Miramar FL, I am sober and alive today! Thank you so much I went from problem child to spiritual seeker thanks to them. I'd like to shout out Dennis and Leticia for excellent care and amazing direction. I could rely on them for guidance when I was unable to do so myself. Thank you.John

I have been to A LOT OF residential and IOP treatment center. And although Evokes residential center isn't the worst this IOP/PHP is complete garbage. They barely take the time to know the people that they're even working with, they can't even get the medication times right for people, and they like to blame all sorts of issues on someone they know they can get away with punishing. They don't take commuting into the equation. I'm sorry but this is not only the worst IOP I've been to but it's the worst treatment I've been to. Their residential place in Cohasset isn't too bad and there are a lot of things that I applaud but this place is a complete 180and is used to make money that's it they want you to go from the residential to this place. Don't. Btw they also don't even try to stop drug use yet get upset at people taking legitimate medication, its a backwards place and they didnt help me at all in my recovery but when I left? Did much better and I'm sober for three months now. Don't rely on places to get yourself better do research and someone to help/be with you and take any medication you need (that is after you have had some time sober and need some help managing anxiety, cravings, etc) or find somewhere else.

There are some fantastic clinicians/therapists here, however some of the individuals (particularly directors) in charge of this place are simply unprofessional.I have an open and active complaint through the BSAS (a branch of the Department of Public Health) which has been assigned to someone who is investigating it.Respectfully, proceed with diligent caution for your well-being if you seek treatment here.

On call has given me back my life. One person that helped me the most during my recovery was Micah. Whenever I needed someone to talk to he was always around an would even stay past his leave time to help me deal with issues. The people at on call where always willing to do anything I asked an have been a great over all decision. Truly half the reason I m still in AA an sober is because of the people I met at this program. They saw a broken man an wouldn t give up on me no matter how difficult I made it for them.
