About Evoke Wellness – Miramar

Evoke Wellness is in Miramar, Florida, and provides a safe and supportive environment for adults struggling with addictions. Miramar is strategically positioned between Miami and Fort Lauderdale in Broward County. It’s tragic that millions of Americans have substance use disorders. Only a small percentage get the help they need. Evoke Wellness’s staff recognizes that getting help can be intimidating. You may feel ashamed that you’re associated with an addiction, or you may feel you can’t afford treatment.

They believe that their compassionate and professional support will help you live a life of sobriety. You’ll have access to residential treatment for a variety of substance use disorders. This includes alcohol, hard drugs, prescription drugs, and polysubstance addictions. The latter means you misuse or abuse more than one substance at the same time. This complicates diagnosis and often leads to unpredictable drug interactions and increased health risks.

Residential care and extended residential programs address drug and alcohol addiction and dual diagnosis treatment. Dual diagnosis is the term used to describe substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This diagnosis requires an integrated and simultaneous approach to increase treatment success. It’s not uncommon for mental health conditions and substance use disorders to be present concurrently, and one condition often exacerbates the other.

Treatment for most addictions typically begins with medical detoxification to help rid your body of the addictive substance. Evoke’s medical detox program monitors you 24/7 to help manage the withdrawal symptoms safely and ease your discomfort. Drug and alcohol withdrawal can lead to physical challenges and sometimes, life-threatening complications.

You’ll transition into residential care to receive the intensive mental health and substance use disorder treatment needed to achieve sobriety and emotional wellbeing. Residential treatment immerses you in a therapeutic environment where you can fully focus on your recovery away from toxic situations and drugs. They’ll also improve your overall health by discouraging junk food, sugary drinks, and cigarettes.

Residential treatment can last up to 60 days while extended treatment can last beyond 90 days. Your residential treatment helps you cultivate skills that manage your addiction and take a deeper look at the root causes. This supervision helps you to make the right life choices that support your sobriety and develop a strong community support system.

Your customized treatment plan is developed based on a comprehensive evaluation. This is regularly monitored and adjusted so you continue to focus on your recovery goals. Care can include acupuncture, and sound therapy.

Evoke Wellness is equipped to handle severe cases by offering specialized care at their premier residential treatment facility. It features a warm and inviting atmosphere with natural wood accents and plenty of open floor space to encourage fellowship with your peers. Your personalized program is based on their core values of respect and dignity.

The staff works with many insurance providers in Florida. Your insurance coverage will be verified before you begin treatment. This reduces the risk that you receive an unexpected medical bill.

This was the worst experience I've ever had. I went for 7 day detox and was only in detox room for 3 days and they moved me to another room. I never saw a dr, my therapist was never available, the staff acted like everything I asked for was a hassle. Everyone has to wear a braclet monitor which staff scans frequently. A night staff member asked me to hang the bracelet on inside door knob so she could scan and not disturb my sleep. Meanwhile there was inappropriate relations between males and females in public areas. After my 7 days I was ready to go to a facility back home and Evoke took it upon their selves to put in a preauthorization to my insurance for 30 more days which I didn't even know until I got home. I walked out without anything except the clothes I was wearing, water, and a blanket. They told me I couldn't have my belongings for 72 hours. I called my husband from a restaurant and explained what was going on in facility and he drove down to pick me up. He called and requested my drivers license and medical cards because I knew I was going to a intensive outpatient program back home and Evoke staff member put me down for 45 minutes telling my husband lies and I believe it was all about money for them. The pictures on their page looks nothing like the facility. The groups were a joke. They had people who were only 3 weeks clean running group and not one time did a licensed therapist run group. This was my first time in a detox center and it was a traumatic experience. So I would highly recommend anyone proceed with caution before going to evoke. I'm in an intensive outpatient program here at home where I'm getting ALL the services I hoped to get at Evoke. They treat you like a prisoner and can't make a phone call unless you attend 3 meetings a day even when I was told I didn't have to attend those joke of meetings while I was in detox. I attended them anyways due to wanting to make phone call at night, however they keep you so heavily medicated that by the time staff would come get me it was too late to call and wake up my husband and I was to groggy to even walk to the phone room. So they held my belongings for 24 hours and we had to make the 6 hour round trip back the next day to get my stuff and of course I had missing items. Horrible experience since I am in an IOP facility who cares deeply about my sobriety.

Worst decision of my life was to go to this treatment facility. I was there for three days they build and was paid $14,000 from my insurance company when they broke the HEPA lol and told my daughter I was detoxing on some serious drugs when the deal was, my business kept my business and then I had nothing to worry about as far as my family and friends finding out and then they told my daughter I was detoxing off of some serious chemical substances so I decided to leave they told me I would not have a plane ticket home and then they would not even take me to the airport they decided 12 hours early I bought my own plane ticket home and ever since then they are trying to bill for a plane ticket that I purchased and I won t pay that they start billing me for treatment that my insurance paid for I am filing a lawsuit against this place for the HIPAA violation and harassment there s so many rehabs if I were you, I d pick somewhere else to go
