About Evoke Wellness – Hilliard

Evoke Wellness is an behavioral health treatment center in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio called Hilliard. The city is well known for its preserved historical district and the Early Television Museum which gives a unique glimpse into the past. The proximity to the state capital of Columbus allows you easy access to metropolitan services and attractions as you undergo rehabilitation. The number one priority of Evoke Wellness is your emotional wellbeing.

They provide a full range of services from residential treatment to outpatient and aftercare support programs. You receive guidance and support throughout treatment that has proven to work. Your treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation that supports a customized plan. The multidisciplinary team includes licensed physicians and nurses, therapists, counselors, psychiatrists and support staff. Many team members are also in long term recovery. They understand your journey and can offer the compassion and care that make a significant difference in your recovery.

In their residential treatment program you’ll receive 24-hour supervision as you learn how to substitute bad behavioral habits with healthy coping strategies and transition to a life of sobriety. They also offer a dual diagnosis program if you’ve been diagnosed with a co-occurring mental health condition and substance use disorder. Integrated and simultaneous care is crucial since these conditions typically affect each other.

Your tailored plan may include an intensive outpatient treatment program that helps address the physical, mental and emotional aspects of behavioral health conditions. You’ll transition into an aftercare program once your formal treatment has been completed. Recovery is a lifetime journey that requires commitment. You and your therapist develop an aftercare plan that might include recovery centered meetings, prescription medications and a plan for your life after treatment. Aftercare programs help you avoid old habits by providing a support system that helps lower the risk of relapse.

The behavioral health programs help you make a seamless transition into your daily life. They also provide an extensive library of free ebooks that can help inform you about topics related to addiction like preparing for residential treatment, having a conversation with your boss or how to explain lapses in employment. They work with many Insurance programs and will verify your insurance coverage before beginning treatment.

If I were permitted to rate this establishment below one star, I would do so without hesitation. Despite my repeated interactions with the establishment prior to arriving at the facility, they had consistently portrayed it as a luxurious and upscale detox center. They emphasized that it was a “Private Pay” facility that had recently expanded its services to include Medicaid, which further reinforced their positive portrayal. They assured me that the facility had only 23 individuals, capable of accommodating up to 70 or 80 people, ensuring that I would be assigned a private room and experience exceptional comfort and a conducive environment for recovery. However, the reality was far from what they had promised. Upon entering the ostensibly more refined and upscale area in front of the facility, I was greeted with a stark contrast to their initial description. The double doors led me to a place that was nothing short of abhorrent. The atmosphere was oppressive and reminiscent of the early 2000s when Franklin County Jail was notorious for its rough and unsanitary conditions. To my astonishment, there were four individuals crammed into a single room, devoid of any private accommodations. The facility housed approximately 70 to 80 individuals undergoing detoxification, engaged in incessant screaming, yelling, and attempts to impress the opposite sex through ostentatious behavior. This was an unprecedented level of filth and disorder, rivaling only the conditions found in county jails. I felt a profound sense of empathy for the two young women who were working alone, attempting to manage such a large crowd of individuals detoxing without adequate supervision. The safety of the facility was compromised, and individuals could potentially face serious health risks, including death or seizures, if not medically detoxed correctly. The environment was characterized by constant noise and chaos. Indeed, there was evidence of sexual activity between men and women in the facility, and I strongly suspect the use of drugs. This establishment is utterly unacceptable and should not be considered a viable option for recovery. Recovery is a serious matter that demands utmost seriousness and attention. It involves the lives of real individuals, and this situation poses a life-or-death risk. As a personal anecdote, I am a recovering addict who nearly lost my life due to inadequate detoxification and healing in a noisy, unsanitary, and filthy establishment. I had to leave the same day I arrived. Therefore, I strongly urge you to protect yourself and your loved ones from this facility. Seek out a reputable detox unit that prioritizes the well-being of its patients. This particular establishment falls short of these standards and poses a significant danger to your health and safety. This place is a joke. There is NO Communication between clients case management and family to come up with a game plan for clients when they are about to complete. Such as client hearing boundaries put into place by family, things family One day clients get phones for 35 members should look out for or be aware of better yet getting clients and family together to get on the same page to start building new relationships. Smh one day clients get phones for 35 mins the next day they don’t get them at all the next day they get them for 10 mins. Somedays it is at 4:00, other days it at 6:00 then sometimes at 8:00. It is RIDICLOUS! Like what is your purpose? Detox? If that is your purpose then I will give you 5 stars, as that is successful. Look bottom line is nobody knows those clients better than their family and their loved ones. We have lived this battle with them. But for you to not even include Family And setting up aftercare in my opinion is just you setting that client up for failure. I said what I said, And that last sentence should likely be reread.

These issues come from both Evoke and Arista. Mainly Arista as my love one got there 2 days before being taken over by new management. Very very VERY Unorganized and unprofessional. I have made numerous calls to the facility. No one ever answers the phone nor do you get a call back after leaving numerous voicemails I have sent my loved one mail that he still has not received. There was $250 in his personal account when it was taken over by Arista That still has not been sent back. My loved one has been in there since the middle of August and yeah I still have not had a case manager. Call me to set up a visit. Heck, they don’t even call you back when you leave him a voicemail. The Clients areallowed their personal cell phone but only for 30 minutes a day 30 minutes when you have family and children, seriously? From what I was told, there are no arts and crafts or other activities to take place while they’re not in group. When you arrive to get admitted or to drop things off. Nobody is ever there to answer the door you are left outside ringing a bell for 30+ minutes. The only professional service was from the guy we dealt with in admissions. He is the only 5 star review and I don’t even have his name to acknowledge him for his great service. If the time away from my loved ones family would not start all over. I would pull him out of this facility and put him in another. I don’t know what the he’ll is going on over there, but it would be a good idea for yall to figure it out.

I cannot say enough good things about Arista Recovery Hilliard. From my first contact with their admissions team through to ongoing support, the experience was consistently professional, compassionate, and effective. What stood out to me: The facility is spotless, modern, and peaceful, exactly the kind of environment you want when you're focusing on healing. Staff are genuinely caring and competent. The medical team, therapists, and support staff all went above and beyond to make me feel safe and understood at every step. Their personalized treatment plan approach made all the difference; no cookie-cutter protocol. They tailored therapy, wellness modalities, and pacing to exactly where I was in my recovery. Integration of dual diagnosis care is seamless. Having both mental health and addiction professionals working together helped me with issues I didn’t even realize were connected. The communication was excellent. I always knew who my point of contact was, got timely updates, and felt seen rather than lost in red tape. They were flexible and transparent about cost and insurance. They walked me through what would be covered, what I’d need to pay, and how to handle billing. Ongoing and aftercare support is solid; the transition out felt safe, not abrupt. They provided resources, check-ins, and pathways to stay engaged. Final thoughts: If you’re considering treatment in Ohio and want a place that treats you as a person, not just a patient, Arista Hilliard is one of the best I’ve seen. Highly recommend it to anyone serious about recovery.

As a professional in the behavioral health field, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Arista Recovery Ohio and can confidently say they set a high standard for quality care and client outcomes. Their clinical team is exceptional — compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly invested in each individual’s long-term success. Arista’s approach to treatment goes beyond addressing substance use; they focus on healing the whole person through evidence-based therapy, trauma-informed care, and a strong emphasis on life skills and community support. The facility itself provides a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment that promotes real healing and growth. I have complete confidence in referring clients to Arista Recovery Ohio, knowing they will receive the highest level of professional care and support on their journey to recovery.
