About Everlast Recovery Centers

Everlast Recovery Center is an alcohol and drug rehab in Riverside, California, where you can detox and learn to live in recovery from drugs or alcohol in a residential setting. While they serve adults in the general population, they’ve a special track for military veterans. They’re licensed by the California Department of Healthcare Services and accredited by the Joint Commission.

Their medically supervised withdrawal program is suitable for people who aren’t likely to have life threatening problems during withdrawal like seizures or heart problems. They assess you to make sure you’re a good candidate. They use medications that are appropriate to your condition to help ease your withdrawal symptoms. For folks with opioid dependence, buprenorphine is one of the medications they use to assist withdrawal.

They’re clear about their belief in complete abstinence as their preferred outcome, but they acknowledge that some people do better with opioid replacement therapy, so they offer it. If it’s right for you, you can be on buprenorphine while you’re working through this program. Not all residential treatment centers will allow that.

They have many favorable reviews. Many people found the staff helpful and the program life changing.

They take commercial insurance and will help you verify your insurance benefits before coming. In support of veterans, they’re in-network for Tricare West.

Everlast Recovery Centers works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Per session payment lets you pay for each treatment at the time of service. You may also pay for a certain number of sessions up front and then pay for more if needed. This format allows you to tailor the financial investment to your specific needs and avoid having a large lump sum payment due at the end of the treatment program.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive form of outpatient treatment where clients meet during the day and return home in the evening. PHP treatment doesn't require 24-hour care and often serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down after a residential program. With PHP treatment, you can receive daily support for 6 to 8 hours which includes evidence-based therapies and medication management. The cost of PHP treatment typically varies but averages 90 days.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

eye-movement iconEye Movement Desensitization And Reprocessing

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

While in rehab treatment, you may work on developing various life skills to help you in long term recovery. These may include resilience, interpersonal skills, and self awareness. The focus will be on developing healthy habits for self care and relationships so you have the skills you need to manage day to day life.

Substances can prevent the absorption of nutrients and cause damage to your body's systems. Nutrition therapy in California addresses the deficiencies in vitamins and minerals that are caused by substance abuse.

The goal of creative arts therapy in California is to encourage growth and transformation. It can be used in individual and group settings with both children and adults. Options include movement, music, and painting.

The use of experiential therapy can be helpful for the treatment of behavioral disorders, including drug and alcohol addiction. This method teaches you how to release negative emotions and cope with pain from the past. Activities such as art, music, and animal care are used to facilitate this process.

The goal of nicotine replacement therapy in California is to mitigate the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. It cuts down on your cravings by supplying a small dose of nicotine without exposing your body to the toxins of cigarette smoke.

Everlast saved my life! I remember trying to find a facility that would accept my insurance and was having a hard time. I had been calling around for about 2 days and my insurance company finally sent over a list of facilities that would accept my insurance and Everlast was first on the list. The person that answered my call was so nice and understanding of what I was experiencing with my addiction, I immediately felt comfortable. He made arrangements for me to come the next day. I truly believe that God led me to Everlast. The staff is amazing and supportive in every way. They will forever be my family. The first day of treatment I had planned on going around 8:00. But I ended up in the Emergency Room because my withdrawals were so bad. The supervisor from Everlast kept calling to check on me while I there and even spoke with the nurses and doctors for me. She came and picked me up from the emergency room to take me to the facility to start my detox. That how much they go above and beyond just treatment. Before coming to treatment I felt broken, hopeless, sad, scared, unsure, guilt from my behavior that resulted from my addiction, shame, embarrassment and with no faith from my higher power.I can honestly say that working closely with my case manager, therapist, the doctor, all of the counselors, the chef ( oh yes there is a chef ) just every single staff member there helped me get to a place of peace and understanding. I stayed 30 days and it was the best 30 days of my life. The clients there became my friends the house was united and everyone s story helped me in so many ways because I could relate. We had a powerful fellowship and I will always keep these people in my life!I m home now but Everlast has an open door policy and intend on taking full advantage of that to stay on the right track. Again, I am so grateful and blessed that God led me to Everlast just at the right time in my life. I am forever grateful!

When I got to Everlast I was broken and had no desire to continue living. Through the process I had to surrender completely and focus on my character defects. With the help of all the great staff and one on one sessions with my case manager Katey. I was able to navigate myself out of the shame and misery. After completing 90 days I can honestly say that life has a completely different meaning to it. I love myself today and God is doing for me what I can never do for myself. I highly recommend Everlast recovery to anyone who needs another chance at making things right, but you have to be willing to surrender completely or your just wasting your time.My before and after photos.WE DO RECOVER!

I said goodbye to my addictions the second I made decision to come here. I knew I wasn t going to be able to stop drinking without professional help. I knew I was a mess and needed more than just addiction recovery. During the drive there I was filled with so much shame and guilt. The many years of damage I had done to myself as well as damage I did to my KIDS, my family!! All the years I spent hiding my addictions, hiding my mental health issues, to have it all out in the open and now having to process and work through it. My anxiety was so overwhelming that I could barely walk into house. I was shaking and thinking I was too old for rehab I am not that addict I just made bad decisions . The only thing that kept me there was my parents faces saying I can do this because I need this!Katie started my intake and assured me I was in a good place. I will never forget her gentle way of making me feel normal . She shared her past in ways that are similar and I appreciated that. I felt comfortable going to her with anything I was feeling and she put me at ease.Sabrina (my case manger) showed me new ways to see things in everyday situations that aren t negative or self-loathing. I hated myself and felt I could never see the good in me after all the chaos I had done. She will never know the true depth of all that she has done for me!Kelsea with her quick response to my therapist and the plea for help I would never have made it there. Within 24hrs I was admitted-starting my new life at Everlast.Ryan although very tough was the one who got me to open up at all. He got me admitting things I never wanted to admit. He got my mind free from all that burdens me.Dean (therapist) spent time with my family to heal and I believe he healed me into believing in myself for once. There are so many other employees that I will always remember and look up to! Everlast changed my life and I am happy with the person I am today!!
