About Encore Outpatient Services

Encore Outpatient Services is a private rehab in Arlington, Virginia. You can access various levels of outpatient care, including partial hospitalization, intensive, and general. They welcome adults and families battling substance use disorder and co occurring mental health conditions.

Each program allows you to live at home while participating in proven therapeutic interventions. You’ll benefit from individualized care that meets you where you are in recovery. They offer multiple approaches, including individual, group, and family therapy, life skills training, psychiatric services, holistic therapies, medication management, and more.

What stands out most to me is their emphasis on family engagement. They strive to account for the damaging effects addiction can have on the family unit. Their clinical staff also evaluates your family’s needs to provide appropriate interventions. You can access narrative therapy, supportive therapy, and family systems counseling to rebuild relationships and strengthen your support system.

Former clients described mostly positive experiences. Clients recounted exceptional staff experiences and life changing care. Still, recovery looks different for everyone so be sure to consider multiple facilities to find the best care for you.

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Clients in an intensive outpatient rehab (IOP) benefit from robust support but often do not require the high-level supervision and round-the-clock clinical care provided in an inpatient setting. Clients engage in multiple therapeutic sessions weekly, with most programs requiring between nine and 20 treatment hours per week. Intensive outpatient rehabs provide a wide array of evidence-based services, including addiction counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, holistic therapies, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Known as the first step of the addiction recovery process, medical detox is the removal of addictive drugs and alcohol from your body and helping manage physical withdrawal. Medically assisted detox takes place in an inpatient setting where you will be closely monitored by a team of medical professionals to ensure your maximum health and safety. Medications like Suboxone or Vivitrol may be administered if needed to alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. This process is typically at least partially covered by most insurance plans.

I m 19 I just graduated the Encore program today. I can only say nice things about this place. I had an amazing therapist who went out of her way to help me feel better and to calm some things down in my life. All the staff are super friendly and the other patients here make it more enjoyable
