Horrible dump...those poor patients....sitting in barren hallways with matted hair and stained clothes, it's like a State Hospital in the 1960's. In the time I was visiting I didn't see ONE nurse interact with a patient...all sitting on their phones at the desk. How is this place in business in 2024?? A call to DPH is in order.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Addiction is a highly complex problem, and drug rehab in Massachusetts is often necessary to address it. These programs treat physical, mental, and relational issues that are involved. Treatment empowers individuals to manage these issues without the use of drugs.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

My father was placed here as an emergency. He was diagnosed with very severe dementia at 53, we walked into his room and the whole room was still covered and littered with another person s belonging. This just confused him to no ending, he was trying to explain to the workers that it wasn t his room, and they were so ill prepared to deal with him, he got rightfully very upset and ended up in the hospital on a section 12, which was heartbreaking for our whole family. When you first walk into this place there is an awful order. The employees avoid their patients as much as possible, very little interactions and even less speaking. When I was first there with my dad a woman brought my father in dinner and would not make eye contact or speak to any of us. The director Donna claims she is stern and firm when speaking to other people, but she is just horribly mannered and rude, especially for someone working in an industry where families are going through something so terrible and difficult. I would think very heavily before trying to place a family member here.

I had a client that was living here that I need to take care of today. Unfortunately, I had left my badge at home but my work schedule was proof. When I had walked into the building, a receptionist and a nurse was standing at the desk. I had introduce myself, and I let them know that I m here for somebody. In a very hostile voice she said, show me your badge and I had told her unfortunately I don t have it on me, but I m willing to show you my work schedule to confirm, my identity and the person that I am working with. She kept on insisting that I show her my badge and I kept telling her that I left it at home by mistake. She eventually asked me to call my boss; which I had no problem in doing so. While I was on hold, they were talking very bad about me. They accused me of carrying a gun into the building because they don t know who I am. I got very offended and I told my boss what was going on. When I told them that they accuse me of carrying a gun, they yelled in synchronized manner, we were just joking we were just joking. I told them you can t jokes about something like that I find that offensive. My boss told me to leave and I did. The nurse that was standing there wasn t even wearing a badge either and she confessed to that, so why was she also giving me a hard time when she wasn t even wearing one either?

This place should be shut down immediately or investigated asap. The state needs to step in and do something about the abuse and neglect of the patients at this rehab. SHUT IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT SEND YOU FAMILY HERE YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY REGRET IT

I am very please to say I am impressed with the activities department and staff my sister was there for while and she never got out of bed until the activity director started showing interest to the residents I think she is new there. They have live entertainment and the activity department have a lot of compassion and really care about the quality of life for the residents there

I was there for three weeks in the rehab section. The actives department was just starting up after Covid. I found them to be very caring and concerned about the patients. Additionally I found the occupational staff and physical therapy department quite good. Nursing care is kind of hitor miss. They use alot of agency nurses that change alot so they can't develop a working relationship with patients.. in summation if the patient is able to be their own advocate they place is OK.

I truly believe that my ex passed away there out of neglect and dehydration. He was transferred from the VA and soondeveloped a swallowing problem. Due to advanced Parkinson s, and declining vision, he was unable to drink or feed himself. It seemed to me, that if he didn t have a visitor, he did not get fed or hydrated. He had not been there that long, and IMHO, that was what led to his death. Now I see they have changed the name of the facility.

My ( late ) mother who was being treated at The Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton after having a small heart attack back in October 2020 was taken advantage of by hospital staff who somehow changed her Health Care Proxy, making a mess of things. She was shipped to The Norwood Health Care facility and put in a room with no TV, no phone and was not given a bath or shampoo for two weeks according to her. It took threat of legal action against them to get her discharged to come home and be cared for by a hospice team. She was able to walk when she left Good Sam 2 weeks later she could not stand up again, slipped into a coma and died a week later. I could write pages of material but after the experience with that place, I would not leave pets with them to care for even if only a weekend.

Worst home I have ever had to deal with. If you love your family member don't bring them here. NO MANAGEMENT. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. Getting an answer from the staff is always a never ending saga.
