About Echelon Care

Echelon Care is a treatment facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, for youth who’re having a hard time with behavioral issues and behavioral health. Substance abuse is one of the common issues and concerns that they can help to treat.

This facility offers several levels of care depending on what your child needs. They’ve a residential program for kids who need intensive therapy. This can be especially valuable in the early stages of recovery when your child’s sobriety isn’t very stable yet. As they progress in their healing journey, they can transition into the outpatient treatment program instead. At that stage they’ll live at home with you and go to the treatment center for counseling. That way, their routine can return to normal as they go to school and hang out with their friends in their community.

One aspect of this rehab that I found to be especially important is how much they involve your family in your child’s treatment. They understand the role that your family will play in your child’s recovery and they want to give you all the tools to help your child’s success. It’s also important to note that this facility offers outpatient treatment for not only kids and teens but adults, too.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Echelon Care provides outpatient behavioral health care services to consumers and ensures that professional care conforms to ethical standards, including confidentiality and medical necessity. Therapeutic counseling services are provided to children, adolescents and adults by licensed professionals that utilize sound clinical judgment in providing the most appropriate care according to NC Medicaid guidelines. Through outpatient counseling services, our recipients are expected to experience an increase in the functioning in one or more areas (family, school, home, socially, work), to display a reduction in their active symptoms or improvement in their active functioning, experiencing less than two crisis episodes requiring intervention through the Emergency Department, Mobile Crisis, Facility Based Crisis, hospitalization, or detoxification within the most recent past three- month per report, evidencing an increase coping skills and social skills that mediate life stresses resulting from the recipient's diagnostic and clinical needs, and minimizing the negative effects of psychiatric symptoms and/or substance dependence that interfere with the recipient's daily living and utilize functional skills to live independently.

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

There are many types of drug rehab in North Carolina. To receive treatment for addiction, you can choose from many inpatient and outpatient programs. Often, participants start with detox and work through a full continuum of care that continues with ongoing support for long-term recovery.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Routine tasks are difficult for someone experiencing addiction. Daily skills deteriorate, which makes it harder to achieve recovery. That's why drug rehab programs in North Carolina reteach basic life skills. This gives you the tools you need to manage daily life without returning to substance use.

recreational-therapy iconRecreational Therapy

Recreational therapy in North Carolina helps you during drug and alcohol addiction recovery by engaging you in activities that support your physical and mental health. Sports, arts, and outdoor adventures give you positive experiences that help replace substance use and help you develop healthy habits and a support network.

Honest review ( you need to know the real life things that go on before filling out an application here ).:CEO is very UNPROFESSIONALNice to employees during interview then after he s a new person. He had me drive the kids around illegally , refused to pay me for the mileage( wear and tear on my car) because the CEO says I left on a bad notice WHEN I sent the CEO a 2WEEK LETTER & another email saying it was my last day before I left .He also threatened me to take $600 out my check , the list can go on . Find a better professional place to work !!!!!! I should ve know from my interview that this is literally a black owned company. He was talking about clubs, cursing , and irrelevant things NOT how the behaviors are, the Do and don t just straight unprofessional conversations.. Out of all the jobs I had this BY FAR WAS SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNFAIR. I keep emailing him with questions because he didn t let me fill out an I9 he just decided how much he wanted to take out. He keeps ignoring I have screenshots.

Not a good job. Terrible work environment with low pay. Failed to follow covid guidelines. Best part about it is building a bond with the children in the program.
