I have been a client here for three years. The receptionist and front office staff have always been respectful and helpful. I have witnessed others giving them a hard time and being difficult. Respect is a two-way street.Nicole Bryant is absolutely fabulous - I could not ask for a better therapist! Dr. Glitz and I discuss treatment options and we discuss her recommendations. She does run behind at times but I know that is because some clients need a bit more time than others and she is very thorough. I never feel rushed when I'm meeting with her.Note: Mental health providers in Michigan are understaffed and stretched thin. Delays and wait times are common with almost every provider nowadays. Extending a little post-pandemic grace goes a long way.

***Edit for management - I did indeed file a formal complaint and never heard back from anyone from corporate. The clinical supervisor was gracious enough to offer to reach out, but I heard nothing from the parties responsible for the problematic individual. My best friend/fellow client however, did receive a call from corporate regarding a recent complaint she filed. She did not even file a recent complaint, though our last names are similar and likely listed next to each other in the EHR. There seem to be several pieces consistently falling through the cracks. My experience with Jill Becovic is unparalleled. I have been in and out of therapy since I was a teenager for anxiety treatment. She is the best clinician I have ever had. Non-judgmental, realistic, genuinely caring, and provides robust and feasible insight.I will say, however, it is disheartening that the below reviews that are negative are primarily about the receptionist. Client experiences with this individual alone has substantially brought their google reviews down. This is a shame, because the clinicians are amazing.I too have had several issues with the receptionist and was hopeful that Ascension would be more proactive in mitigating further issues with her. As the face of a mental health clinic, the receptionist is rude, curt, and unprofessional at best. I too work as a clinician for another practice and wouldn t in my worst nightmares have an individual like this working front-of-house for this line of work. My review is for the clinicians of this clinic only - they are fantastic. If you can handle the receptionist, you will have a fine experience.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Worst receptionists. Rude, they talk over you. They don't answer your questions or get an attitude if you are able to get the reason for your call out. Really makes me not want to call and make appointments. Dr. Glitz is always late. My last appointment she put that it was missed/canceled. I never received a call that it needed to be rescheduled or for a link for the video visit, which would be the reason that it was "missed". So then I have to call and make a new appointment with receptionists that don't like answering calls....Had an appointment today, so I called about the link I called 2 mins before my appointment and was told "well it's not your appointment yet" tried explaining why and was told to just wait it out

To Harry Smith; This is David Hurley a client of yours from several years back. I wanted to keep a few minutes to apologize and take accountability to you for how I treated you during and after my treatment with you.I have realized you were right about so much of the advice you were giving me at that time although because of my fear of dealing with the situation I could not mentally absorb a lot of the things you were saying, I just blocked it out because it was not making sense to me. You told me fear was the underlying emotion with anger and it s taken me some time and and further pain in my life to actually process what you were telling me. My fear over my sense of control with the with the situation brought out the anger. I needed to deal with my fear first and understand (it) in order to deal with my angry outbursts and lack of control (anger). I know my apology will not take away the emotional hurt I may have left you feeling trying to do the best you could do under the circumstances although you were at least owed this and also to know your work with me wasn t a failure, you planted a seed it just needed time to grow.Thank you sir genuinely and I hope this finds you well.

I received a call from this location to schedule an appointment. I simply asked the receptionist if she could guide me on their site to view the physicians in their facility. I like to do a little research on the doctors before scheduling an appointment with them. She told me what to type in the search bar but I was not finding the correct link. I asked her if she could please just send me an email with the link. She informed me she cannot send an email with that information in it. She attempted to guide me to the correct link by telling me (again) what to type in the search engine. I continued to inform her I am typing what she s telling me and to no avail I am not seeing what she s seeing. I could tell the frustration in her tone as she continued to tell me then I don t know what to tell you . I asked her once more, so you can t simply email me the link? , her reply was we cannot email from our personal emails or work emails that information .If this is the customer service your facility has, I would rather take my business elsewhere.** Your business should strive for better customer service as this will cause you to lose business. **

Dr.Glitz is putting her patients at major risks by not discussing treatment or even listening to her patients. Patients she sees once every 6 to 8 weeks. Well see if Nicole (thr manager) can help. I have been in treatment for GAD, MDD and Postpartum depression and without my consent Dr.Glitz tapered my medications because they wete no longer effective. I mean 2 years of taking taper in 2 months.
