Horrible and disappointing, and even more so when it comes to children, no priority or importance, not professional, and theDr (Chineme Jessica MD) seems to only deal with animals, very alarming. THE truth is, 5 hours, fever, chills, acute headache and not a single test was performed on my 7 and 9 year old children.Without a prudent diagnosis nothing absolutely nothing! They didn't even take it seriously because of the treatment of mosquito bites. A worrying virus that is spreading to children and can BE deadly, even so they sent me home without medication, without referrals, without peace of mind I would never return0 recommendedDr Chineme, JessicaGive your position to someone else with passion for their work, respect for the health of their patients!!Trust me this is not a good place to go with your child! Poor attention and nasty attitude!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients often enter inpatient rehab following detox, but they may also enroll during early recovery or at an increased risk of relapse. Inpatient rehabs provide housing, meals, and intensive clinical supervision, allowing clients to focus exclusively on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment. Clients typically receive multiple individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions weekly. Many programs also offer extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training. Integrative inpatient rehabs provide holistic therapies as well.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
A medical detox is the safest way to wean your body off addictive substances. When you become physically dependent on alcohol or drugs, quitting abruptly can cause a host of challenging and uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. In medically assisted detox, a team of medical professionals will be on hand to monitor any symptoms, to provide medication if possible, and to help keep you as safe and as comfortable as possible throughout this process.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

5/17/2020Against My better judgment I decided to come to this er because it was closer to me. Let's start off with there was no parking in the front of the building when asked security where else could I park I was told the lot was around the corner or I can park up the block I informed him that those locations aren't going to work for me because when I stand I get short of breath and feel like I'm going to pass out so the older security told me I can park at the very end and he made sure I made it inside. He goes in and tell the woman I'm experiencing shortness off breath when I'm on my feet so I get to the window and the woman ask me why am I there I tell her I'm at my 5th day of covid but for the last 2 days when I stand up to do stuff I get shortness of breath and feel like ima pass out, so this woman has me standing there while she typing so I said well can I sit down while you so that because I'm starting to get dizzy she doesn't respond but ask for my ID and insurance then give me papers to fill out I took the clipboard and sat down. By the time I finished they were calling me in the back. The male nurse calls me in the back and put me in a room nothing in the room but a chair and it feel like 100 degrees in the room he finally comes back in the room I'm explaining everything to him along with telling him my preexisting problems and meds because he never asked me. He leaves me in the hot run after i asked him was there a fan he can put in the room because ima pass out in there he said let me see and cracked the door 20mins later i couldn't take it no more so i get up and call him at first he ignored me until i got louder and told him hes going to find some place else to put me before i pass out n he says there's nope place else i can put u so i said you come sit in here for 10mins and tell me if its bareable then all of a sudden the room across he jus realized it had a fan in it another plan room with jus a chair in it. I understand ppl with covid have to be isolated but the way they treat covid patients is horrible not even a bed to lay just a bare room that's 90 degrees with a chair. But he come to take bleed from a vein in my hand he didn't even look for a vein in my arm, I have never had blood taken from a been in my hand. Every other dr or nurse I encountered was nice and pleasant but whole hospital seems to be hot they took me up for a ultrasound it was hot in that room I've never been in a hot ultrasound room they brought me downstairs and passed an area that was cool but I ended up being put in a ekg room that was 90 degrees and I was in there for an hour I couldn't get comfortable, I was irritable, very hot to the point where I was just ready to leave..If I can avoid it I will never go back to E.O. general this place is horrible, they dont treat covid patients well or with an urgency, the place feels like 100 degrees inside i feel sorry for the staff, parking for the Er is far away, they changed the name of the hospital and got worse I feel sorry for anyone who ends up there this summer. If you have a choice go to a different er, the only good thing about it was I wasn't in there all night.7/01/2024Was having chest aches i went to urgent care and they made is seem like i was in danger and said i need to go to an e.r. I went here think in all the time it has changed when in reality it got worse. I WILL NEVER EVER WALK IN THIS PLACE AGAIN ON MY OWN 2 FEET. i got there at 6pm and didn't get discharged until 2:30am with no real results. Let me start by saying it wasn't the staff fault it the way the hospital is ran for it to be a hospital i don't understand why everything has to be sent out then read then the information sent back to the dr's the whole time all they can tell you is that they are waiting for results.. I have never seen people in the er and decide to leave instead of being treated many people was leaving from the back because they were tired of waiting.

Zero stars for me..This is the worse hospital. About 7 years ago my dad died there because of negligence from the nurses and the staff... I hate this hospital I ve had my dad and friends parents died there. My grandmother went to the ER not too long ago because she seems to have a minor stroke, according to the Doctors there. Since it s the closest hospital so they ambulated her there. I was hoping that they changed their ways from 7 years ago. We really were scared to leave her there overnight. They wouldn t want anyone to stay with her overnight. We had to ask for a supervisor for overnight approval. When we asked a staff meme we for there Supervisor the responses were that they don t know I was sooooo hesitant and scared to even leave her without telling her cause she wanted me to stay but I left without telling her cause she was so scared herself and wanted me to stay meanwhile while on my way home I was calling the hospital to tell a nurse to hook at least a phone in her room so she can at least stay on the phone with a family member so she won t panic they left me on hold for almost 1hr and 1/2 so I hung up and called back trying to get the same nurse I spoke to previously. Then another nurse answered and said they were hooking her up and switching rooms that s why I was on the phone for so long Come together find out she still didn t have a phone in her room. The phone in her room wasn t resolved because they said they weren t supposed do it. The very next early morning as soon as visiting hours began a family member went to go see my grandmother and she said that they were just hooking her up as if they just left her to die. I ve seen and heard too many sad and devastating stories about the negligence of this hospital.. it s not fair and not right too many deaths leading from negligent nurses and staffs that could ve be prevented in this hospital and we in the community have to say and do something about it because it s just not fair!!(Update 04/02/2024) Well she died months later in the nursing home that they transferred her to. They gave her some medication, on that very next early morning when we went to see her she didn t even recognize us. She couldn t even talk but nod her head a few times. Something just didn t seem right from within that 4-5 hours that we left her there. Due to that she died a few months back. RIP to my grandmother!!!

My experience was a great one! I was admitted for 5 days! The staff was great especially the nursing staff! The place is dated but they kept it very clean! The staff worked as a collective team! I give it a four because there was no hot water and they had to use heaters to keep the floor warm. When you closed the door to your room it was freezing!
