Staff is friendly and getting an appointment is fairly easy. However, I asked my doctor about whether a certain assessment would be covered by insurance. She claimed it would be, leading me to believe it was being submitted as preventative. It was not. It took about five months of emails, using both the portal and the external email, to get an explanation. The situation resolved with them saying that the assessment isn't covered. If the doctor had not mislead me into believing it was covered, I would not have opted for the assessment.

While bringing my client in today for a routine checkup we both mask regularly so we already had our masks on. The security guard at desk asked if we had covid symptoms in the last 2 weeks. We both replied No. After getting my client checked in I cleared my throat one time and the same guard jumped all over me and said I needed to sit in a blue room away from my client. I told him that was not a option and I was clearing my throat and not sick. Again he tried to give me a attitude about it. Another woman in the waiting room than started to cough and he changed his energy once she said her meds give her a dry throat Have a nicer person at the door when dealing with people with different abilities.

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

HIV/AIDS Program
HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.

Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

I have been going here for many years. I love Dr Weaver, but recently it s been a nightmare to schedule an appointment! One of their receptionist finally called me back and scheduled my post hospitalization appointment with one of the PA s. She late called me back and told me that the PA was only doing Tele Visits on that day, and asked if that was ok for me. I agreed that it was fine. Well today I go to the Healow app to log in for my 9:40 appointment and I don t see anything about a Tele Visit so I called and got through, surprisingly, only to be told that my appointment was scheduled at the facility. What an inconvenience, especially after waiting to finally get an appointment, which was supposed to be scheduled within seven days after my hospital release! I will be finding a new PCP, this place is a joke now.

I've been seeing Dr. Sima Weaver for a few years now and she is the best doctor I have ever gotten to see. She is always so helpful and I love that she prays with me whenever I see her!

I love the doctors there, especially Dr. Joseph Weaver however, it is extremely frustrating how they have their phone systems setup. If I called today to schedule appointment, I should not have to be put through a voice-mail just for them to call me back a few days later. I just missed their phone call now, and now I'm expecting to wait till next week for a phone call. I need to be seen and have documents signed to go back to work and its going to be days until I can even schedule an appointment not to mention that availability will more than likely be 2 or 3 weeks from now. I don't know if this is a sign to look elsewhere but this practice needs to be a stop to that automatic voicemails
