About Didi Hirsch Via Avanta
Didi Hirsch Via Avanta is a residential facility for women in Pacoima, California. They provide substance abuse and mental health treatment for women and their children up to the age of 6. Pregnant women are welcomed.
A strength based approach is used to overcome trauma. Addiction counseling, support groups and the 12 step program is used for relapse prevention. Therapy and specialized psychiatric care is available for adult women and children. Yoga, a meditation room and exercise room is available. They provide HIV testing and prenatal education. They offer programs for family bonding. They have mommy and me activities, parenting classes, family therapy and a playground. Staff is able to help you with custody obligations, probation and parole.
You do have to meet certain qualifications to be accepted into the residential program. You must be a Los Angeles county resident. You must be low income or homeless. The age requirement is 18 years or older. You must also have a substance use disorder or mental health disorder.
