About Denver Recovery Group Lakewood

Denver Recovery Group Lakewood provides alcohol and drug rehab services to adults through their medication-assisted treatment program (MAT) that is offered on an outpatient basis. Each person is provided a personalized treatment plan that takes into consideration his or her unique needs and goals for treatment.

Medication-assisted treatment combines FDA-approved medications with mental health counseling to address the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of addiction. The medications aid in reducing cravings. Case management and tapering services are available, as is guest dosing for those who are visiting from out of town.

Outpatient counseling supports MAT by providing evidence-based treatment so clients can create a firm foundation for recovery that includes new habits, coping skills, and mindsets. Over time, clients can taper off the medication support and live in long-term recovery.

Denver Recovery Group Lakewood may accept a variety of insurance plans, such as Cigna, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Amerigroup, Ambetter, United Healthcare, and more. Insurance plans vary, so be sure to verify coverage information and out of network benefits with the insurer.

If you want to get sober and get the help you need than this is not the place for you .. they go through counselors like crazy, I ve had 4 different counselors in a year an a half. Also they are not there to help you at all just there for a paycheck. They make it extremely hard for the ones that are doing good, making us jump through unnecessary hoops and will make you lose your job . I highly suggest the one in Denver that stays open super later with 2 dosing windows and they have workers there that will get you in and out

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients entering an inpatient rehab typically require more intensive treatment than those in outpatient care. Clients often start inpatient treatment immediately after completing a detox program. Upon admission, they engage in extensive psychotherapy, receive recovery-focused life skills training, and participate in evidence-based complementary therapies, such as meditation, massage, acupuncture, and/or animal, creative arts, recreational, and experiential therapy.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Residents of a sober living home in Colorado are encouraged to continue to develop coping skills and habits they learned in treatment. They can typically live at the halfway house as long as they want, until they feel they are ready to transition home. During their stay, they must adhere to house rules, which may include contributing to household chores, abiding by a curfew, and maintaining a job.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Seems like nobody at this location seem to be on the same page about their dosing rules. They are quick to cut you off of medication for any reason making it hard to stay sober. The staff is hostile if you ask questions that they think are stupid. James is a great counselor though. Do not see Hannah (I think that s her name) the counselor supervisor at this location. She is passive aggressive and honestly will make you want to use due to the stress and anxiety she can give. Rolls her eyes a lot too.

I have a loved one in recovery. He has been making tremendous progress. However, this clinic has made his progress incredibly difficult. They have provided conflicting information, including different amounts for dosage, time line, and expenses. Today, my goal was to assist him to make this process less stressful. He had provided a signed document allowing me to assist him in a prior visit. I was spoken to poorly and I was denied any information to help me assist my loved one. I have heard this is how they often speak to clients at this location. A resolution would be for them to provide clear and concise communication, to speak to others respectfully, and to provide support if the clients goal is to lower, and eventually quit dosing.

First of all the wait is minimal. If u want to get in and out, this is the clinic to join. Second, the people here are very nice, professional and actually want to help in your recovery. Finally, they have a sister clinic that stays open until 8pm which is unheard of. If you can t make it in time to your home DRG clinic, as long as you call and have them transfer your dose you can go to the other location until 8pm!!!
