About Daymark Recovery Services – Yadkin Center

Daymark Recovery Services in Yadkinville, North Carolina, is a mental health care and addiction recovery facility for adolescents, adults, and families. They also offer specialized programs for people with co-occurring addiction and mental illness and for justice involved people who are court mandated to seek help. Treatment can be paid for with Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, or an individual needs based, sliding scale plan. Walk-ins are welcome and treated in the order in which they arrive.

I like that they offer a wide continuum of outpatient care. If you need more robust supervision and support as you’re recovering from substance dependency, you can enroll in their intensive outpatient program (IOP). Once you’re more stable in your recovery, you can step down to standard outpatient treatment.

You’ll engage in individual and group counseling and recovery education. You’ll learn how to address the triggers of addiction while abstaining from alcohol or drug use.

If you’re in alcohol or opioid recovery, you may benefit from medication assisted treatment (MAT), including Suboxone. This FDA approved medication is used to help reduce clients’ relapse risk by reducing cravings and mitigating withdrawal symptoms.

They have in-home treatment too, which is targeted at helping vulnerable youth and adults who may be unable to attend treatment sessions consistently outside of the home. They also offer mobile crisis response to address the urgent needs of clients in the community.

Former clients said that the staff were patient, welcoming, relatable, and down to earth. Several patients loved their intensive outpatient program in particular, calling it relaxing.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Treatment represents an array of services designed to meet significant behavioral and/or psychiatric symptoms that have been identified as treatment needs of the individual seeking services. Needs are identified through clinical assessment and evaluation, and/or crisis planning, with the participation of the individual seeking services and others of their choosing. Daymark provides outpatient treatment to adults and children (Age 3+) with primarily mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. Hours of operation are designed to be available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM at a minimum, and thru 8:00 PM in many locations.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Daymark SAIOP involves a series of structured individual, family, and group activities and services provided on an outpatient basis designed to assist adult and adolescent clients with addiction disorders to begin recovery and learn skills for recovery maintenance. SAIOP also informs the client about benefits, community resources and services, and services; assists the client in accessing benefits and services and monitors the provision of services. SAIOP provides education on both wellness and recovery.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

There are many types of drug rehab in North Carolina. To receive treatment for addiction, you can choose from many inpatient and outpatient programs. Often, participants start with detox and work through a full continuum of care that continues with ongoing support for long-term recovery.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectic Behavior Therapy is for people with Borderline Personality Disorder, substance use disorders, and binge eating disorders. It helps individuals learn how to regulate strong emotions more effectively. DBT teaches coping skills and different tools so a person can line a more healthy and stable life. The end goal is to have a life worth living.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Complete waste of time for psychiatric needs. They won t give you the medicine you need simply because some of it is technically addictive . They wouldn t even consider it even though my previous Dr wrote that medication for me and determined it was right for me.I m only giving it 1 star for the kind staff. Otherwise it d be a zero

I have been working with a wonderful counselor, Chris, who is always wearing a rainbow tie-dye jacket and a beanie. He is so down to Earth and the most relatable counselor I have ever had in treatment. Daymark is lucky to have him. I feel like we are a team in this and teamwork makes the dream work.
